Oh Becky, thank you so much for this message. I hope you're doing well. I'm sad about you losing your father-in-law, but remembering what life is all about is important. Take care and again thank you for all the work you do for us resellers.
Hello dear how are you doing I was checking what’s going on here when I come across your profile picture looks amazing it will be an honour to talk to a polite woman like you I don’t normally write in comments section but I believe you deserve this comment. Do you mind sending me your Gmail so I can write? I don't often come online here
Thank you so much for these videos --- I really appreciate learning about the different brands and what's good/not good to pick up. Looking forward to checking out your website as well!!! Blessings!
I saw someone who moved their reselling space & they said to move it all at once to help with not losing anything. So just load a moving truck with all your reselling stuff and only your reselling stuff then move it straight to the new room.
HI Becky, thanks for putting this out here. Your knowledge and expertise are really helpful. How do you handle the sales tax aspect of Shopify? It's so easy on Posh, eBay and Mercari because they handle it directly. Do you use an outside service to manage sales tax on your Shopify store? Seems like it'd be so much work tracking this for each state and doing the filings, etc.. Thanks!
I totally agree with you on the soft surroundings bottoms. Mine sit forever! But I do pretty good with tops and dresses especially larger sizes but the pants people must not like much lol
Trico - Tree-kow - knitting :D Love getting to see what sold for others during different parts of the year. I hear you on the ThredUp mystery boxes. Some of the stuff surprises me when they sell; while others, not so much.
Hi Becky, so thank you so much for this video. I was trying to determine if my website is worth it. You use the website very smartly. I will borrow your ideas. But I have to check out your website. First.
Having a royal warrant means that they have supplied goods to the queen/royal family. It’s specifically granted to companies and businesses that do this on a regular basis.
I do average costs of goods type philosophy, too. Yay. Didn't know that piece/brand be men's, huh. Nice, best of luck on site-- cool! Good reminder to sell flawed✨️
This is where i can't remember if you have to have a store or not to promote. But essentially, if you have the capability to promote listings, it's at the bottom of your listing before you go to list.
Just moved TWICE in the last 6 months with my eBay business. The first time was a real nightmare because I lost things. The second time, I binned everything with detailed information on the outside. The problem is that items are in various stages of processing for a thousand different reasons! I kept all of my eBay business completely separate from my home items and they were loaded (and unloaded) separately from everything else. I literally told the movers "Move this room only first. Don't move anything else until this space goes". So far I've lost nothing, but nothing about moving with an eBay business was fun. Nothing.
I did five very large pallets to other. Before I moved if you want to sell a big box I would buy now cause we moved from Texas to Tennessee and I had to lighten the load and now need inventory for sure
Oooh I know there is some great sourcing in Tennessee depending on where you go. Personally, I think it's ok to build up your inventory slowly and get quality items versus a lot of not very good items. Just my personal opinion :)
Hey @Jenna Marie, do u have any tips on where I need to start for getting my re-seller's certificate in Texas? This is all new to me, and I know I need an EIN # and also a bank acct. Any help is much appreciated :) I feel quite lost.
What do you estimate it takes in time on average for the work you put into each item…buying, photographing, modeling, editing, writing description, uploading, recording the accounting, and shipping? Thank you!
This is a good question. It depends, which I know is such a cop out answer haha. I batch work every aspect of my side hustle, so when I source, I try to go for long enough to buy enough stuff so it's worth it. So, hopefully 15-30 items are purchased with each trip. When I photograph, I try to get at least 20-30 items photographed in an hour. I list 5 items to 5-7 different platforms in about 40 minutes. Shipping each item probably takes under 3-4 minutes. So it's hard to say how much time is spent on one item, but if I had to guess, I'd say 15-20 minutes?
Maybe get some racks on wheels I have some buyers that purchased a home from a huge reseller and she said that most everything is on racks with wheels so maybe try that! ❤
@@beckyparkco no they are nice and heavy she has tons of them they are clothes racks on wheels and she can just wheel them out to her new house and they will stay organized!!
A royal warrant means that the company can sell in the UK under that monarch... so whenever they get a new monarch, they hvae to are-apply for a new royal warrant. It's only a big deal at the moment because the Queen died ... otherwise no one has had to reapply during her reign.
Hi Becky, Thanks for the video as always. Say, I have heard of your quest to have your own website. I'm glad its already had some success! Besides mentioning it, have you done a special video on it - I have had an interest in doing the same thing!? Well, not exactly the same format...I don't have a you tube to drive traffic to it, but I figured I could use pinterest at least. I had a ton of questions like...what website creator did you use? Did they pic the website name out for you or did you get to pick one and was that hard? How do you (in simple overview) create the website? Once the website is up, is it simple to add your listings ? How did you set up payment, I would probably try to use pay pal. Say you sold 20 items for an average of $25 each with frees shipping (say $5) which means a profit of $20 each before cog...that's not bad..that is $400. Does your website cost anything to run? Did you pay for help setting it up? Sorry, I know I should just go do it but I find I barely have time to list...oh, so you said you put quite a bit into putting it in place...how much time do you think it was? Thanks again for peaking my interest in doing it too. Hey, do you think if you sell something on another platform you could send a thank you card with your website on it? Would that be allowed? Thanks.
Lots of great questions! I used Shopify, and to first create my site, I bought a course to learn how to use it. There is also a really great 4 part tutorial series on TH-cam on the Shopify TH-cam channel. Aside from that, it truly is all trial and error. When I make a new batch of my cards, I will put my website info on there, but right now, my cards have info to all my reselling platforms. I hope that helps!

You are so sweet. Thank you
Yay! I got a shout out from miss Becky Park! Smiling from ear to ear. I literally live in those anthro pants🥰

I appreciate you SO MUCH and am so happy you love your new pants! They looked SO comfy.
I love hearing the Cha-Ching for your sales in the background!
haha me too!
A sale with profit is a successful sale IMO. ❤️
Absolutely! But if we can also learn how to work towards transactions with bigger profits, then we can learn how to make more money in less time :)

🤣 That Becky girl haha Yes we listen to you ! You are so much more than that hahaha
lollol I'm sure some people just roll their eyes and are like "there she goes again" lol
Love watching your videos. You’ll make your goals & more soon!
I hope so! And thank you for the kind words

I can't even get my SS tops to sell. They have been sitting forever. No bites.
right??? Like, what is wrong with their bottoms, people?!?
@@christinarizzotti7869 sad :( Mine have definitely been sitting longer than normal, and I leave behind a LOT of Soft Surroundings.
Great job on your website Becky! You make a great model too!
gahhhh thank you!! I appreciate it!
Just sold a Tadashi Shoji cocktail dress size 2P for $85!! Thank you small people 😊. I paid $4.50 for it.
YASSSS!!! See?!? That's what I'm talking about!

Interesting!
HA! I ALWAYS pick up anything labeled Made in Italy too! And price high and rarely mark down!
Always enjoy your content!
Best of luck on your journey to meet big goals!
Awwww thank you!!!
I'm from Wisconsin but Duluth isn't too far away. Yes you pronounced it correctly ;) Made me chuckle

LOL I'm an Ashland native

Yes! People don't mind small flaws :) And yay to average cost of goods!
my kids went to UMD ! If I'd seen that sweatshirt earlier I would've snagged it!
oh wow! Did they like it?

I do that! I just need to add my website to it.

That sweat shirt university of Minnesota.
yes!
I had great sales…..not really. They all ended up being non payers 😮😮😮. eBay really needs to address this issue.
They really do. It's crazy that eBay has been around this long and they STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED THIS OUT.
