I just picked this up myself for POTA/SOTA with my 705 earlier this week. To resolve the issue of 2 separate antennas, I purchased the Comet CF-360 as soon as I got my 705 in November and it's worked flawlessly for me. Thanks for the video and nice review. 73 de KN3A
Excellent video regarding the content. I was hoping the no internal tuner when this radio was announced was not going to be an issue. It appears this topic continues to resurface with every external tuner option available to us as there is inconsistency with usage. I didn't think the second antenna port for VH/UHF would be an issue but I agree they should have added it. But then again many of us have the radio and using it differently. Regardless...I still love my 705 and need to more attentive to various topics associated with it. FYI...my tuner use the 9 Volt battery. No issues and I have a plan to modify the battery replacement issue.

It's been some time since I've commented on an Ape production! I like that 705! The tuner is pretty sweet. I still have that IC-703 setup.
