Sadly a twisted concept, only by superior tools can you be peaceful. Example, if I had to defend someone else or myself, if I can rack a 12ga the dude is probably not going to stick around and find out, but if I have to use my fists its going to get REAL messy and violent. Having the tools is often more peaceful as it gives you options, not having them leaves you limited with worse options.

As a sword enthusiast who happens to be a sword owner, is in contact with several world renowned sword experts and master smiths, been offered an invite from a Japanese sword polisher to enter a sacred shrine so I can see a sword that nobody is allowed to take a picture of, and is close to rediscovering the Japanese sword making of the Kamakura period (not the flamboyant, flimsy swords from the Edo period), I approve of these memes.

Ideally it won't actually be all that sharp tbh, but unless you look super closely it'd look like real metal yknow, and hopefully durable enough to at least withstand basic handling (like, say, swinging it around without hitting anything, general transport, etc) For context this is for cosplay, lol. I've never cosplayed before but I'd like to sometime within the next few years so I'd like to have an idea of what to expect well in advance (If you're curious, I want to cosplay Link, and having Link without the Master Sword wouldn't feel right!)

Longswords are not very effective in tight spaces. Use a shortsword instead.
