I happened upon this stately home tour by accident, became intrigued and watched to the end. A clever and admixture of traditional & contemporary styles which harmonized well considering the vast number of rooms. Interesting to see the usage of earth tones throughout the home. Cottage has two meanings when it comes to houses guys. One is an architectural design style. The other is the colloquial term for a small house.
Look to Mackinac Island for a great example of the former. Huge homes, built in the cottage design style.
Very nice. The wallpaper, 50 shades of gray and taupe, and moody colored rooms is not my style but I’m sure there are a zillion people on TH-cam who would love to live there. Well done.
I am remodeling my house. You guys have inspired me a lot. I am following you since day one of this beautiful journey. I am making a long dining room, I picked black windows note that I never liked black before...your taste inspired me and a lot others I believe.

It was great!! I wish I could provide a home like this but on a much smaller scale for my family. One day perhaps....

Some may feel jealousy when seeing your amazing home, but not me, because it's simple; if you work hard by putting in what it takes to get there, then you will achieve amazing results! I see nothing but hard, core labour of love.
Please make sure you instil in your children that privilege should never be taken for granted and that they must also work hard to achieve the same goals of their own. Remind them that it took a lot of sacrifices and tough decisions to get to this point in life.
