Why are farmers taking their produce to Adani Silos

  • According to a report in The Hindustan Times, FCI pays 10 crore as rent
    to Adani Group for each procurement season to store agricultural produce.
    This year, 22,000 tonnes of grain has been stored in silos so far, compared to 7,000
    tonnes during the same period in past years. Due to farmer protest, Last year there was no procurement due to farmer protest.

    Don't question the farmer. The state government procurement agencies need to improve their system and logistics. It's pathetically inadequate.
