    No need to delete the material and add a new one. That number 2 there next to the material name. That tells how many "users" that material has, so any changes to the material will change all linked objects. If you click it, it makes it "single user." This makes it its own copy attached to that object and lets you change it without affecting other objects.
    This is true throughout the entire Blender interface.

    I played with the Z scale of one layer and added rotation to the sphere, looks pretty coooolio

    Also, very cool. Simple to create, and looks awesome! I didn't realize you could change frame interpolation (and other stuff) in the Timeline view. Thx :D
    A couple things:
    A) The AO is useless. Everything is glowing (emitting) so that light overpowers any shadows from anywhere. Also, there's so little geometry in the first place, it doesn't really do much of anything to begin with.
    B) You can also animate the colors. ;)

    • @NebMotion
      @NebMotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback! Honestly checking AO is just a habit for me now hahaha

    Thank you for the tutorial, can you please help me with something, there is a problem i encountered - adding Curve modifier deforms the object, it seems in your example it is not present and geometry seems to be correct. is there a way to overcome deformation without messing around with adding Bones, etc?

    • @NebMotion
      @NebMotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's no way to do this without deformation using the curve modifier as far as I'm aware however I'm sure there are alternatives ways to array an object along a path without the deformation, I need to look further into it though sorry!

      @@NebMotion many thanks! it would be awesome to find the easy way to do it, there is parenting option 'Follow Path', but i have another issues with it)

    Thank you man! This was super fun. Have been playing with it for days! Renders are super slow though, and my 8 core CPU shouldn't be takign this long should it? 240 frames ta 256 passes taking 14 hours! Any advice on speeding it up?

    • @NebMotion
      @NebMotion  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that is very slow! especially if yo are using the Evee render engine, maybe check your preferences in Blender to see what components are being utilized for the rendering, I'm sure there are plenty tutorials on youtube for optimisation. I'm not the most Tech Savvy person

    • @BenLe42
      @BenLe42 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NebMotion thanks Neb. It's Cycles that is so slow. Eevee is much faster, but the effect is different. I'm having fun playing with both though, so thanks again
