Yeah, I'm from the country were we are just boiling real chicken eggs in onion peel water and they get in weird color, then we hide those eggs in the garden. Kids go find them and eat. That's it. If the grandma is spoiling them with one or two chocolate eggs, they are happy 😅

First, cannot imagine anyone thinking you do not get enough "stuff" or treats or whatever for the kids! You not only go overboard for them, you also do it for their friends! Second, I vote for the new outfits..so cheery and sweet. Love the idea of using items other than baskets, like a boot or umbrella, for their Easter goodies. BTW I also only remember candy in Easter baskets. I think presents for Easter, or any holiday other than Christmas, is a newer thing.
I moved to Alabama though, so. I try to do beach/pool toys, swimsuits, flip flops ... Stuff I'd be buying ANYWAY...lol but it gets them pumped for the upcoming fun with n the sun.

Also, speaking about trays, I've been using a large, plastic Thanksgiving tray for about 10 years now. Its now a running joke when we have people over...all the good stuff is on the Turkey.

I love the first plaid outfits!! You could pull nearly any color from the plaid to find a solid color garment for the teens/adults to still 'match' for a fun family memory and holiday photo opp. Maybe keep the pee-her-pants-dress and incorporate it into Sweet Meredith's wardrobe as another princess-y outfit aside from the holiday?

My Easter baskets were always candy and practical small gifts. Hairbrush, hair ties, chapstick, and maybe some bubbles or some other small toy. Slippers, a new spring shirt, socks, art supplies, cheap bracelets/necklaces and croc charms would be some other gifts you could add in. I am doing the same for my kids. I love the yellow outfits! So cute!!

She had 4 large pine trees fall on her land and one came inches from where she was sitting. Plus, her rental property had some extensive damage to it. It might have to be torn down. She is a widow and disabled so she will lose the income from it.
As my children (now 33 and 36) and now my grandchildren become teenagers their baskets become practical and fun for their age. Less candy. I bought make up, cd's, clothes, wallets, purses, now it's scented candles, led lights, bath towels (who new sharing was out) perfume / colone, hair accessories, nails / eyelashes, art stuff, I tell ya the fads have changed since doing this for my children in the early 2000's. Growing up we only ever got candy in our Easter basket as well! Usually my kids get stuff for summer. They're outgrowing the summer fun stuff, like bubbles and chalk etc. But I got them stuff they needed or is consumable.

Ummm Kim....you can make your own syrups for snow cones ! Dont panic if you run out. There are so many ways to make it. Kool-aid, jello, soda, even fruit juice ! I would advise to go to Dollar Tree and get a bunch of the clear condiment squeeze bottles to use. Also ; you can make cotton candy sugar too. Some of the recipes dont come out looking like what we are used to but you use what you have in your pantry as you always say. Making some of these could be great kitchen projects with the kids if you make them in advance. Also...make one or two as content for us and i know you will get a lot of " likes". NOTE. Since you live where it is warm and you do a lot of outside parties , snow cones would be awesome.
I love, love, love watching you no matter what you are doing! Buying the white serving platters is a good idea. You can always use your holiday/seasonal ones as an accent! The Easter waffle maker is a must to round out your collection! Yes I think moms deserve an Easter basket!! When I buy peeps, I always get extra to eat on the way home in the car….they generally don’t survive until Easter. Some people say they like them stale….. I will never know.

I assigned one part of my kitchen cabinets ( uppers and down) for entertainment plates etc. I have it for years that way and it is so easy to get guests plates out or put back. You will find it so useful and easier to keep organized. I love classic white too for plates :)

Lol to be a fly on the wall while you were shopping that day. You did great in getting cute stuff for the party, the kids and your own kitchen towels, oven mitts and bathroom hand soap for mom with the bunny with glasses. So cute. I agree on all white so it matches occasions and you can accessorize with table cloths, napkins, the floral displays or other occasion displays etc. Soon you will be renting your yard and kitchen hosting parties and weddings. I love that you and Alex are the community spirit minded family who makes a nice safe home party for kiddos and guests to sleep over or do a holiday big. I remember the last Easter was a big partay and with you more capable and Alex also it’s going to be an “eggstravaganza”. Love your Lily Pulitzer leggings outfit. The glitter cracked me up and looked itchy. Happy planning! Oh and since Meredith loves the yellow dress just use that set. It’s adorable. Avalina can just wear a white dress or light blue or chambray dress or skirt and tee type of thing that loosely matches. She’s a big girl now so harder to do matchy with to the littles. FYI. There was an explosion at the Palmer Chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. It was so huge that it pushed the building in front of it four feet. Very sad. Workers were killed.

Kim, make your own syrup for snow cones. Save your bottles but there are all kind of recipes on-line where you make your own. A friend of mine sells snow cones and they just make their own syrup.

I would advise to go to Dollar Tree and get a bunch of the clear condiment squeeze bottles to use. Also ; you can make cotton candy sugar too. Some of the recipes dont come out looking like what we are used to but you use what you have in your pantry as you always say. Making some of these could be great kitchen projects with the kids if you make them in advance. Also...make one or two as content for us and i know you will get a lot of " likes". NOTE. Since you live where it is warm and you do a lot of outside parties , snow cones would be awesome.

I love, love, love watching you no matter what you are doing! Buying the white serving platters is a good idea. You can always use your holiday/seasonal ones as an accent! The Easter waffle maker is a must to round out your collection! Yes I think moms deserve an Easter basket!! When I buy peeps, I always get extra to eat on the way home in the car….they generally don’t survive until Easter. Some people say they like them stale….. I will never know.

I always hosted Easter & I think that carrot cookie basket will be a hit! Also, keep those 🦩 bowls, you do enough entertaining that you will definitely use them!

I assigned one part of my kitchen cabinets ( uppers and down) for entertainment plates etc. I have it for years that way and it is so easy to get guests plates out or put back. You will find it so useful and easier to keep organized. I love classic white too for plates :)

Lol to be a fly on the wall while you were shopping that day. You did great in getting cute stuff for the party, the kids and your own kitchen towels, oven mitts and bathroom hand soap for mom with the bunny with glasses. So cute. I agree on all white so it matches occasions and you can accessorize with table cloths, napkins, the floral displays or other occasion displays etc. Soon you will be renting your yard and kitchen hosting parties and weddings. I love that you and Alex are the community spirit minded family who makes a nice safe home party for kiddos and guests to sleep over or do a holiday big. I remember the last Easter was a big partay and with you more capable and Alex also it’s going to be an “eggstravaganza”. Love your Lily Pulitzer leggings outfit. The glitter cracked me up and looked itchy. Happy planning! Oh and since Meredith loves the yellow dress just use that set. It’s adorable. Avalina can just wear a white dress or light blue or chambray dress or skirt and tee type of thing that loosely matches. She’s a big girl now so harder to do matchy with to the littles. Maybe a pretty boho white cotton dress for her.
FYI. There was an explosion at the Palmer Chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. It was so huge that it pushed the building in front of it four feet. Very sad. Workers were killed.
When my kids were growing up they always got all brand new summer clothes and shoes in their Easter Baskets with a solid chocolate bunny

Kim, make your own syrup for snow cones. Save your bottles but there are all kind of recipes on-line where you make your own. A friend of mine sells snow cones and they just make their own syrup.

First of all, Good morning! Second, kids need more than one Easter outfit! I get my 5+ yr old her dress then we do an Easter shirt with pants or shorts depemding on the weather. This haul makes me want to go shopping. Lol
