What a fantastic review fragrance apprentice. I totally agree with you as I first sampled this fragrance around 4 years ago and I liked it a lot. I purchased a 500ml for £20 which is a steal!! I've sampled SDV and I think it's not worth the money tbh. This fragrance is the best vanilla fragrance I've smelt and own the Perry Ellis Oud Black Vanilla Absolute.
Mr. Smelly and Smurfy Gurly had very nice things to say about this fragrance, so I went looking for it in Canada and can't find it anywhere. I have sent them a message requesting information as to whether it is still available and hope that they get back to me soon.
Thank you for reviewing this fragrance, I purchased a bottle form direct cosmetics for £20, what a true vanilla smelling fragrance and 500ml its huge, an absolute bargain. I splashed some on at 11am this morning and at 21.30pm its still projecting and still smells gorgeous. Seriously if I didnt know it was a cologne I would be using it in my cooking the vanilla is that true. This is truly a hidden gem. many many thanks for reviewing this fragrance. In my opinion 10 out of 10.
Thanks to you George I got interested in this fragrance but unfortunately couldn't find any Website that could ship it to India. However a miracle happened and a guy in one Indian frag group got this recently and decanted for us so now I have a 30 ml of this. Due to fever and blocked nose I am yet to give it 2 - 3 proper wearings but initial impression is good. It's a very clean, simple and smooth vanilla perfume that neither screams nor fades away but surrounds you in a too well known scent bubble.

Here's a giant 500ML for £20 www.directcosmetics.com/icode/68099 However i've discovered that in the USA and the American continent it's hard to find in fact it's listed as 'Discontinued'. This is an absolute shame. If you are in America so if you can import it as it is truly something to look out for!

I have three grown daughters and, since I'm a studly bachelor who has tagged more fresh than Ted Nugent and Jeremy Fragrance combined, the ladies in my life love Cologne of the Missions and have had probably a dozen bottles go missing these past few years because it's loved so much. Better than SDV? I'd say the the price-point definitely makes it so. Anyway, I have one 250ML bottle stashed-away as they are not very hard to come by here in the States. Has this fragrance been discontinued? I recall buying the large bottles for something like $50 and now they are selling for $200 on eBay. Ugh!

I received à mail last year from le couvent des Minimes and they said " eau des missions IS now discontinued, sorry" but you'll find this on eBay or Amazon
So, Couvent des Minimes got back to me and informed me that Eau des Missions is officially discontinued. They recommended trying their new vanilla cologne called Eau De L'Angelus.

I really regret blind buying 250 ml of this. It smells almost the same as "By the Fireplace", minus the burnt wood note, and it's only getting more abundant and cheaper on eBay, despite allegedly being discontinued.

Two things that have nothing to do with the fragrance: One, you have the "big balls" walk. Second, if you lost just a bit of the weight, you would be a solid 10. "No hommo" as the kids say.

I was almost convinced because of this high production video to buy a full bottle of this for close to $100 but I decided to just get a sample first and I'm so glad i did. This is nowhere as good as this review claims it to be, at least for me. It's not strong at all and it's not because of the linear nature of the fragrance, I can barely smell it as soon as I spray it on. There are much better and more prominent vanilla scents out there, even 24 Gold which is a lot cheaper has a more pungent and noticable vanilla. I don't mean to rag on your review just stating my opinion that this one was a real disappointment.
Hey bro, don't worry. TBH I hear here it's really hard to get in North America. If you can barely smell on it on yourself, that's very unusual. It's very strong on me and others who can get it easily in Europe. It could be a fake or some insane reformulation, either way sorry to hear this and thanks for the kind words!
