The vehicle mechanics didn't even require skill to use efficiently. It was a casual game for casual players and performance was like a 3 legged dog running backwards, blind. The only thing DICE got right was the uninstall button.
Absolutely loved BF1. Battlefield V never did it for me. I never experienced any real excitement for the release or game in general. It also lacked a significant amount of immersion and the maps were pretty awful in my opinion compared to what BF1 offered upon release. Battlefield 4 is the true Battlefield experience though, but Battlefield 1 still has a special place in my heart. I played the game so much with friends on release and there was so much hype and excitement for it (both prelaunch and during launch). I wanted to play it all day everyday.
But still can't match the legendary Battlefield 1942 complexities. They have battleships, aircraft carriers, destroyers, submarines, craft landing vehicles, aircrafts, tanks, apc, jeeps, trucks, stationery weapons, horses (need to download some special mod) and etc. And It's all players controllable.

When i see all the ridiculous customized costumed characters running around in BFV, i just cannot take it seriously. Its looks utterly ridiculous. Secondly, the devs really screwed the game over for me when they added the "halo" of visibility around all the players. They look like they pop out of the environment. Its looks unnatural and caters to noobs and blind people. BF1 has neither the ridiculous customizations nor the noob hand holding visual fixes of BFV. These are just a couple of examples of my annoyance with BFV.
BFV will never be an underrated masterpiece EVER. If anything its already an overrated game to even have anyone playing it. And in 5 years time if it ever is considered an underrated masterpiece... for what? Good textures? That really goes to show how god awful of a game it was.
BF1s maps we're superior to BFVs... Even though the textures weren't as great they had balance. For me the only thing BFV had going for it were the dogfights, I'd rather they did more air battle maps instead of only allowing 2 or 3 planes in the sky at a time. BFV has long since been deleted off my PS4 but I still play BF1 to this day.

Alright, its been a solid year with around 374.5 hours spent on BF V and around 392.3 hours spent on BF 1 and I gotta say, both are really good on their own right. Im not gonna touch on historical accuracy as these are just games anyway and are supposed to be fun. From my experience both are really good on their own let starts with... Battlefield 1 without a doubt battlefield 1 is one of the most grounded and least sandbox experienced made Battlefield, not saying its bad but it comepletely stands out from what DICE usually make. BF1 is the most immersive one out of all, from guns, to atmosphere and dark and gritty tone and theme throughout your playthrough. Maps like Passchendaele or St Quentin scar, with Passhchendaele's dark and apocalyptic like look and even in St. Quentin scar despite being exposed to sunlight it still looks gloomy and dark. Gunplay is incredibly grounded and mechanics are also very limited but it helps convey a World War set in 1800s or so. For BFV its actually not as bad as everyone would say, the mechanics are quite different leaving pacing to be really slow but it doesnt damage the feeling of being in a war. However it doesnt capture the feeling of WW2 as it isnt as gritty, pacific maps and even the base maps liter your eyes with bright and colorful tones and gameplay mechanics seem to be more modern-ish. But its not necessarily horrible, Battlefield 5 still has an amazing amount of detail packed into it but its lifespan didnt last very long as people didnt seem to have much interest in it. The game deserved better and it was just getting good. Battlefield 1 still remains to be the most immersive and grounded arcade-ish world war game. Battlefield 5 remains to be the most mechanically complex with its movement and gunplay. Both are really good on their own right. Battlefield V doesnt deserve that much hate tbh, it tried a lot of things some made the gameplay feel better, some didnt. But to call it tremendously bad? I dont agree to that.

The art direction is different, technology wise V have improvements. They went with more plain and dark grading in V. This makes 1 looks more pleasing to the eyes of some people. The reason is more contras and color pop.
In my opinion no triple a game will ever compare to how fun and exciting it was to play bf1. The turning tides maps especially were the best ones and bf1 was the first ww1 game ive played and tbh it was awesome
the shadows in BFV is actually bugged until now. if your weapon has a foldable bipod, the shadow will show the weapons with the bipod deployed, even tho your character automatically fold the bipod upon standing/running
What you see in first person is never what others see of you from the outside, which is what actually casts the shadow. You're not seeing your actual model, but a variant made specifically to be seen in First Person. Both BF1 and V have it.
Not really the lack of content and gameplay problems showed that, BFV made some good improvements over 1 in visuals. Nothing insane but definitely noteworthy

Fallschirmjäger if you actually take a look at photos (from back then and now) of the locales they portrayed the lighting isn’t off for the most part with the exception of Hamada. A lot of noticeable graphical improvements were made even in a much shorter amount of dev time. Map design is hit or miss, I prefer some of the maps in BFV to 1 and vice versa. Political agenda ruined BFVs marketing but let’s not pretend that BF1 wasn’t the testing grounds for what would later be pushed in BFV.

Both games are good detailed, but you’ll never get a very good immersion in BFV like it was in BF1, just remember Grand Operations in BF1 with the soldiers running and screaming to capture the objective, the immersion in BF1 was good on almost every mode, even if it was TDM the environment was very cool, now in BFV 30% of any match are just women screaming *ScHEIsSe SaniTÄteR* (i know there are more annoying women screaming quotes but this one is the one that i hate most) Just imagine how good BFV could be, if they just didn’t make a politically correct WW2 game and if they took the necessary time to develop the game before launch...

Although I never played either of these (my trash PC can't run both of these, even though It can run BF4 pretty decently), I can say the older BF1 looks way better.
It could have been the color saturation, but I ALWAYS got a headache playing BFV. The gameplay was ok, but compared to BF1, there was no competition, BF1 definitely still took the cake. After BFV stopped updating the game, most of the player base went back to BF4, and BF1. The servers went back to normal :)
The Biggest Shame of Battlefield 5 - There is no Soviet Army and Fighting on the Eastern Front. The Second World War is also called, it's ridiculous. This is the Biggest mistake of the developers. This is not the second world war, this is its DEMO version.
Ashfaqur Siddique Becouse 99% of PC players control the mouse with their right hand, even if they're left handed. It feels more natural, the in-game gun follows the movements of the hand. And before anybody in the comments says anything about console players, be aware that I don't give a shit. All the games were made on PC.
I still think BF1 is the prettiest BF game to date. Like not even close. Some of the color schemes and map designs they went with were visually astounding.

Battlefield 4 was my favorite. Operation Locker with 1200 tickets games were fun as fuck.

For your information, the shadow your character casts is from the 3rd person model, which is seperated from 1st person.

Both games are good detailed, but you’ll never get a very good immersion in BFV like it was in BF1, just remember Grand Operations in BF1 with the soldiers running and screaming to capture the objective, the immersion in BF1 was good on almost every mode, even if it was TDM the environment was very cool, now in BFV 30% of any match are just women screaming *ScHEIsSe SaniTÄteR* (i know there are more annoying women screaming quotes but this one is the one that i hate most)
Just imagine how good BFV could be, if they just didn’t make a politically correct WW2 game and if they took the necessary time to develop the game before launch...
I still like bfv , i think the problem is that people rewieved the game too harshly so ea got annoyed and stopped developping , it's still my opinion btw , it could be false or true who knows

Although I never played either of these (my trash PC can't run both of these, even though It can run BF4 pretty decently), I can say the older BF1 looks way better.

The graphics evolved in every series. Its a shame that the gameplay mechanics devolved at the same rate. Long Live BF2!
bf1 could come out this year and we still think it's amazing graphics.
It could have been the color saturation, but I ALWAYS got a headache playing BFV. The gameplay was ok, but compared to BF1, there was no competition, BF1 definitely still took the cake. After BFV stopped updating the game, most of the player base went back to BF4, and BF1. The servers went back to normal :)

Ashfaqur Siddique Becouse 99% of PC players control the mouse with their right hand, even if they're left handed. It feels more natural, the in-game gun follows the movements of the hand.
And before anybody in the comments says anything about console players, be aware that I don't give a shit. All the games were made on PC.

I feel like the lighting and UI in Battlefield 5 are what ruined the game. Battlefield 1 i just the better looking game. Battlefront and Battlefront 2 had the same problem it's so weird.

Bought both of these game a week ago and played both in multiplayer. Bfv's picture is bad. Oversaturated and environment is sharpened. Bf1 looks better for me.
