Thankfully the reality is that Constantine is Chaotic Good and Fate (Nabu) is fanatically Lawful Good. This shit doesn't happen outside of a crisis, 'cuz they'd kill eachother (soul destruction, mind control) if left alone for 30 seconds.
I have to imagine that Constantine becoming Dr. Fate made Nabu have to work twice as hard fighting off all the demons constantly targeting Constantine, while Constantine got a lot more options for dealing with his usual problems.
Constantine was once DC's most famous character, and for good reason. Too many fans in my generation have no idea how dope this guy was and still is. It's so badass to see him explode in popularity again

He's using those mystical objects to stop Trigon, when John sees Madame Xanadu's crystal ball before he stole it from her. He saw a dreadful future might happen on Earth. Thats why he needs them in order prevent an invasion from Hell. And that is why he didn't tell Zatanna about his plan. He knew she would stop him & not losing him again. He died when Upside Down man killed him, till he was revived by Zatara (Z's Dad) before he goes to Heaven, because he wants his daughter to be happy & then Z was joyful in tears to see John alived. She doesn't want to lose him again. However, in DCeased story, Z understood well of the situation after Phantom Stranger's confrontation & so she let him go there to battle Trigon. So they both kissed & John left for battle. Its like a knight getting ready to slay the dragon. But she's still worried him of what would happen there in Hell. She is still worried about him, but she can wait calmly. Better wait to the next issue.
I wonder if John Constantine would one day replace Batman for the coolest character in DC Universe. Probably not,. But imagine if you takeaway Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, who would you replace them with in terms of popularity and character traits. Don't count power levels because any writer could randomly make an artifact and boost a character's power level (Looking at Batman here, he would rank at No.1 for the most powerful character in the whole DC Universe).

Between DCeased and Injustice, Tom Taylor has shown he is amazing at writing high stakes world/cosmic DC events, especially ones that are elseworlds tales where any character dying is free real estate! Wouldn't be upset if DC keeps him as the main writer for every such elseworlds events henceforth.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to meet him twice, he's an incredibly chill and humble guy. Definitely would like to see more of his writing in comics
