Hi ate! Are there certain topics in elem/hs you have to be good at in order to know whether or not you’ll excel in law?
Hmm.. I guess I would suggest that you make sure that you hone your english skills. It's not only needed in recitations, but also for the essay exams (and the bar after graduation!)

Future lawyer Tippy Dos Santos may tanong lang po ako. Sa UP LAE po ba ang GWA na requirement for up lae from college ay computed mula sa 1st yr hanggang 4th yr?
There's actually no specific GWA requirement needed to enter UP Law. :) But once you are waitlisted or you are compared to other students who are vying for the same position, then they may compare your GWA to see who would be best for the spot.
