The Festival of Brilliant

Thousands of families and school children attended the new children's book festival, The Festival of Brilliant, at Biddulph Old Hall in July. We are delighted to share this short film which perfectly captures the event that celebrated children’s literature, and featured a raft of world class authors, illustrators and artists for readings, talks, workshops, performances, installations and activities.
The festival was organised by OUTSIDE and Staffordshire Moorlands librarians working with a group of children and young people, teachers, artists and authors from the district who share a love of reading. The Festival of Brilliant was supported by OUTSIDE, Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Libraries & Arts Service, Staffordshire Moorlands Family Hub, The Island of Brilliant, Wild Rumpus, PiCL, The Reading Agency, How Brave is the Wren, Film Hub Midlands, Biddulph Town Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Support Staffordshire and Arts Council England.
