@@Tvpresenter4history I have started doing some history in my area on my other channel The Wiltshire walkman -Have a look and see if I am communicating properly -Please be honest as I think I need some guidance (I am not a historian but love the history around my area )
Thanks, James. Another breathtakingly beautiful building, the repository of so many stories that should not be forgotten. It was fascinating to be able to come close to people from the distant past by viewing the beautifully detailed carved figures in the interior.
@@Tvpresenter4history I've been watching them this morning. Loved all the effigies you've found and so nice to see that there are other folk out there who appriciate the true history of them. I've spent a lot of years at Barthomley fishing and now Ive been spending a lot of time just down the roat at St Bertoline’s doing live investigations and videos for the channel. I just completed one which was ready to upload but since watching your video of the location and the massacre which took place, what I filmed just didn't do it justice so having to redo it. Many thanks again
Beautiful production James. Fantastic stories, narration, videography, and music. Thank you.

@@Tvpresenter4history One minor negative comment forget the 'th' when pronouncing Barthomley. It is Bar-Tom-Ley. Regards DenT
it was close .... I blame several broadcasters for that
Some research about the 1st Marquess of Crewe and found this very interesting and beautiful visit. Thank you!

First !!!!!!!!! Good morning
you certainly are first !!! Morning...
i think its amazing that the battlements on these old churches were sometimes actually used my local church has them
yes towers were defensive when needed
The irony is that my Grandfather & Grandmother Thomas Dodd were married in this church on December 27th 1893
Three of my ancestors were murdered in this massacre. The name Richard Steele has continued in their memories, not forgetting William Steele.
Was the north west mostly round heads or royalists in those days James??
to be honest Kevin I assume fairly equal...
my relatives were murdered here , hollins and steele .
It was an awful atrocity......
