- Apollo was talking like crazy during the rainstorm. He learned to say "box" and seems to be working on "four, five, six" and of course he's still working

it's super interesting to watch him replace "six" with "sit" and "five" with "bye." you're absolutely right, Apollo, those are very similar and can be difficult to distinguish! it really makes me think about how humans speak, physically, and how similar the sounds we make are, but we take the difficulty for granted when it comes to telling them apart.

Apollo is assimilating and rehearsing. I am expecting a huge jump in vocabulary and communication and interest in learning. In addition to words and physical items you might consider physical puzzles and screen based activities.
Look up piagetian levels eg concrete and formal operational.

How do you prevent/enforce Apollo (or any parrot really) from doing Bad Noises?

Maybe like many children do he likes to say errors due to the higher playful nature these birds are found all over internet videos saying errors. Successful parents use a stearn voice teaching correctly saying until they accept the way to say things. It’s as if he needs laughing to relate to his team and since they say hello and goodbye it might be how he asks of you also due to birds higher emotive responses coupled with the rest. Also he says the correct numbers and then the wrong words and numbers and said bad bird.But just as three year old and older children see imagination as coupled to reality he will easily say things and mimicry as if the items are present mixing up this and that as if it is a game and not serious 🧐 have fun laugh he will love that too🩷💜💜💔💔❣️💓🏆
