Your scans are a really high-quality - I've tried a few times now but mine keep turning out incredibly patchy, like they're infested with ghosts. I've found the Luma AI UI really confusing, especially for their interactive scene features, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything with regards to the angles or speed of my shot. I don't suppose you could do a tutorial on how to create high-quality interactive scene scans within Luma AI? Thank you, your content is super appreciated!!
Seems there are 2 new generators for point clouds too. And they are also very detailed. I wonder what the performance is especially for games. Because the thing is that meshes are already fixed function hardware accelerated and still not as good with fine details in AAA games. The splatter runs good and looks fully photo realistic and that with only compute hardware support. Voxels supposed to be that thing of the future to allow that kind of details... Now voxels have no future at all it seems.
Great video thank you, it was so confusing to me the fact that the file is still a .ply so I was uplouding that on Spline , expecting it to be a read ad a Gaussian, then I saw I had to upgrade the project on Luma and export as Splat
Is there a way to upload the 3D Scans on your own website without using other parties like LumAI? I dont want to be dependent on other services to stay live.
Currently no. At least I haven't yet found a single web viewer whose code you can download and make an independent player for websites. That would be a good idea for some developer. Implements an open source viewer for Gaussian PLY files.
I would like to have a 3D model of the object (as oppose to the whole scene). Is there a way to capture the object as a 3D model without needing to remove the background in the scene from editing?
That would be a nice feature. Luma tries to crop your model off from your background when you want to export it to polygon format. But it is not perfect. There is always something that you need to clean out from the model. 3Dpresso does quite good job for that. But again these are for the OBJ or GLB formats. Automatic cropping does not yet work for Gaussian Splatting models.
Can you seriously move aorund in the 3d scene after uploading the images! Man Splatting is the future!!!! i love the 3D art world each week you have a cool toy to play around with
Olli, you are a wonderful voice in the noice of the Net.
So awesome. Appreciate your videos, Olli. Thanks for sharing!
As always, simple and super excellent explanation !!
That intro was very sharp!

same... I don't know what is causing a sharp result vs. ours blurry ones.. did you find out anything?
Can you do video on nvidia neuralangelo, since it seems to be able to create accurate mesh with nerf technology

❤ your content it’s very informative. Thanks for sharing here!!!
Great video, thank you
Hey Olli where is the webpage that showed embed features (8:51) to change positions of the Gsplat on code?
It is codepen page here: codepen.io/haxiomic/pen/qBMYVrN
What are you using to train gaussian splattings with equirectangular videos from a 360 câmera?
Great video thank you, it was so confusing to me the fact that the file is still a .ply so I was uplouding that on Spline , expecting it to be a read ad a Gaussian, then I saw I had to upgrade the project on Luma and export as Splat
im curious to see if you can use a recording from a game to recreate it using gaussian splatting like you did with blender rendering
You can I tried it on unreal
great video... thanks!!!
great video !!
is there any way i can get the particle effect rendered in luma ai without the ios app?

So the tech behind is glaussian splatting or nerf? or both??
Both. Luma AI still creates also a NeRF model even the Gaussian Splatting model is now on front. Both methods can be created from same pipeline.
Can you make a 360 video, process it as a NERF and then upgrade it to an interactive splat?
Unfortunately not. Or at least not yet. Because the source material is made from distorted images you cannot upgrade these NeRF's to splats.
Does the developers of the gaussian splatting technique make any profit.
they know these a lot better, so maybe they will be hired for any business interested in this kind of thing.
They sell an enterprise version of the software but there's not much info about it online because you need to contact them.
CAN SHARE THE CODEPEN CODE?
codepen.io/haxiomic/pen/qBMYVrN
the XR just misses, I had to get iphone 11 for Luma
Content was ok but music is quite distracting
This software sucks because you have to pay $1 per render like .... Nope
Luma AI? It's a free app and I didn't pay anything?
Really i just clicked video to 3d model and it says $1 Per render @@Piano-ul7vk
Crazy thing is if it cost a dollar or not doesnt matter, you cant use these anywhere except ue5 n unity and the plug in is like 100 bucks
