SB 10.12.11 itthaṁ satāṁ brahma-sukhānubhūtyā dāsyaṁ gatānāṁ para-daivatena māyāśritānāṁ nara-dārakeṇa sākaṁ vijahruḥ kṛta-puṇya-puñjāḥ In this way, all the cowherd boys used to play with Kṛṣṇa, who is the source of the Brahman effulgence for jñānīs desiring to merge into that effulgence, who is the Supreme Personality of Godhead for devotees who have accepted eternal servitorship, and who for ordinary persons is but another ordinary child. The cowherd boys, having accumulated the results of pious activities for many lives, were able to associate in this way with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. How can one explain their great fortune?

The only way to have the desire to be consistent is to have more knoweldge. Knowledge is equal to desire; we desire something based on how much knowledge we have about it. For example, the desire for space travel grew as we learned more about space. So more knowledge leads to more efforts in fulfilling a desire. Now, why do we lack the desire to pursue Krishna consciousness? It's because we lack the knowledge of its profound benefits. Unaware of our identity as the soul, we prioritize satisfying the desires of the body over nurturing the desires of the soul. True happiness resides in the eternal soul, not in the fleeting material body, which is constantly subject to the cycles of birth, death, old age, and disease. In order to achieve this hight eternal happiness, one must attain higher knowledge of the Atma and the Paramatma. Therefore, please delve into the profound knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita, and with the highest knowledge, you will naturally be inclined to fulfil your highest desire of liberation from material sufferings and eternal bliss through devotional service to Sri Krishna. So this is what you need to do. Try your best to read Prabhupada books at least 30 mins a day and do your rounds, pray with sincere desire within to improve and surely Krishna is going to help.
