    federal government spent +100 millions for Ukraine and can't spend on low cost housing ? Canadian dream is in fact a broken dream for many low income families.

    • @xjapan3
      @xjapan3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Money is spent on low cost housing as well as other models of housing for people who have different needs. The purpose is to reduce the costs to the provincial Healthcare system and to reduce the workload of emergency services. Heavy users of emergency services are housed with staff who can prevent those calls. It sounds expensive, but it reduces the expenses significantly.

      There is housing with supports available. But it's more complex than that. A lot of the people simply do not want to be housed. One other comment was accurate. they need to have checkups on those people in housing to make sure they aren't destroying the place and bothering others.
      the problem is also the riff raffy friends coming around. if you threaten to kick people out if they don't tell those people to come around anymore, they'll tell riff and raff to eff off.
      people aren't thoughtful enough to do that. and of course they would say it would cost too much. if there was profit in fixing the problem, it would have been fixed yesterday.
