I just finished Light Bringer, book 6 in the Red Rising world and it has ruined me (in a good way). Like, it's been days and I been trying to start multiple books but none of them feel like they're going to live up to the Red Rising books. And I already feel sad and nostalgic to be done with them (for now, book 7 better come out sooner than I'm thinking it will). I already am thinking that Light Bringer is going to be my favorite read of 2023. But the series is a journey, a long one. Worth it though. So, I've settled for a romance 🙃 reset my fantasy palette

I highly recommend the graphic audiobook of red rising cause it was amazing and helped me get through the book. The book is hard to understand in my opinion but I feel the audiobook helped a lot!
Rachel if you're ever looking for a really good non fiction book (I don't tend to like non fiction either but I LOVED this one) I would recommend Jenette McCurdy's I'm glad my mom died. It is heart breaking but it's such a well written book which talks about Jenette's relationship with her abusive mother and you really learn a lot from it. It's one of the best books I've ever read and I believe Jenette has recently secured a book deal for several more books too which I'm really excited for, her writing is really excellent.
If you are enjoying books about people with abilities you might like the I am number four series or I think it's called the Lorian legacies? I think its YA sci fi. I loved it when I was a teen.
