I really enjoyed One Day! It definitely has some slow moments where I get lost in the overly descriptive parts, but I LOVE the dialogue and banter between Emma and Dex. Was so entertaining to read!
Would LOVE to see this in a series!!! I currently have One Day on my TBR annnnnd now I’m reconsidering. I thrifted it so I don’t feel too bad putting it off
Ive never ordered a book mark so fast in my life! And it’s coming to the US so it was esssspensive for a bookmark, but every single time I watch Rachel’s book videos I’ve always admired it, so thank you so much for posting the link! It’s very unique and eye catching! ❤
Would love a part 2, I also love this idea for a vlog. I have a bunch of books that I have been avoiding as well.. Might have to try this one day in vlog form...
Rachel I can’t wait for you to pick up all the light we cannot see! i read that book for my highschool english class and it is one of the best books i’ve ever read! so beautiful but it’s also a good one to discuss with others so maybe it would be fun for book club!
I’d love to see a part 2 of this video! I definitely recommend Ninth House - I don’t consider myself a “smart” reader, but I was able to get a hang of it pretty quickly and it’s one of my top reads of this year 💕
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Babel! I avoided it for so long but then got it from the library this past summer. I inhaled it in 2 sittings! It's chunky but so fun.
Please read All the Light We Cannot See. The characters are so beautiful yet so lonely, and the way they are all connected in their own ways is just beautiful and even heartbreaking at times. The writing is so poetic and it's such a wonderful read. Netflix is coming out with a show next month, and maybe that will inspire you to check out the book.
First time commenting here (I think), love your videos! I wanted to say how much the intro Bible verses mean to me. This video's spoke to me so much, I wasn't expecting that. And while I am very much a mood reader so I feel conflicted encouraging making oneself read books that one doesn't feel like reading, I would love a part 2. Bc I have so many books hanging around, just there, not read for years. So this video rly made me want to take one finally off the shelf (but it might take another video to actually do it 😜).
I’ve had all the light we cannot see on my bookshelf for so long. I tried to read it but i was so confused. Also would love more parts to these kinds of video
I love this concept! Would love for you to make it a series! I am also very curious to know your thoughts on The Song of Achilles (particularly because I did not love it as much as most people did!) 💞
I haven't read the book 'one day' but I have watched the movie! the movie is a little frustrating as well, since as you mentioned it is hard to get to know the characters, but I think they show the main characters connection a bit better in the movie! I would definitely recommend watching it, if you are okay with the end being spoiled, as it is a heart wrenching ending
When you start reading mistborn, i would loooove a reading vlog that includes a spoiler section of your thoughts. :) i absolutely love brandon sandersons writing!!
Loved this, it would make such a great series! I’m trying to do this myself right now with finally starting ninth house 🥲 I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it, I’d also love to see you read the anatomy of songs and the family upstairs 🥰❤
Loved this video! I also struggled to read One Day, and i didn't agree with everything the characters did but it really picked up towards the middle/ end and i wanted the chapters to go into more detail. The ending broke my heart too.
I finally picked up Babel after avoiding it because I was intimidated and it was the best decision I absolutely loved it. Tomorrow x3 is also on that list I need to pick it up.
6:38 the fact they I just want to get this book bc the cover in holographic, if I’m anything I’m a suckerrrr for pretty packaging. the amount of time I see something and don’t want or will ever use the product but the packing is so pretty i can’t 😂😂
I would give a go at watching the movie for One Day first before trying the book again. I feel in love with the story and the characters through the movie
I can’t believe you DNFd One Day! Of all the books I’ve read it’s one of the only ones I’ve reread more than once and it means something different to me every time I return to it. I’d love to see you go back to it at some point, the characters are so well drawn and you get to watch them grow together over a twenty year period. David Nichol’s writing is so beautifully subtle, if you love Sally Rooney I think it’s definitely worth revisiting. Either way I would encourage you not to bother with the movie, it’s not a good adaption in my opinion. If you want to try a different David Nichols I would recommend Sweet Sorrow!
I could not get into Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Lol. It's so interesting to see how people feel about it when it's opposite of what I felt. But that's why I follow a variety of book people. I love hearing what you guys think.
Loved this video! I can't not mention Song of Achilles, because it's wonderful. But I'd also encourage you to pick up Open Water! It is more of a literary fiction, but just make a nice coffee and enjoy the lyrical writing at your own pace.
I would love to see a part two of this! I haven't read any of these books, but I have seen the film 'One day' and I remember I liked it, but maybe it is one of those cases where the film is actually better than the book..
I think I read "One Day" after I watched the movie... I think sometimes after seeing a visual, it can encourage you to go and read the book for more... that's just my personal opinion tho. But it is very sad, so just a warning.
The song of Achilles is written so beautifully that even if you don’t really like the story, you still love the book because the writing is so good
Winston being the cutest thing when you were upset about the book
The Song of Achilles is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. I think you’d love it!!
All the light we cannot see is one of the best books I’ve ever read. 8 years later and I still think about it all the time!
I would love to see a part 2 with Song of Achilles and Boy Swallows Universe 😅

The way you held your doggo around 7:20 made me want to cry
Girl, I need to take part in this challenge! Proud of you for getting through it!😊❤
I really enjoyed One Day! It definitely has some slow moments where I get lost in the overly descriptive parts, but I LOVE the dialogue and banter between Emma and Dex. Was so entertaining to read!
Make this a series. ❤

Putting The Song of Achilles off for this long is CRIMINAL bestieeee
You need to read all the light we cannot see!! It’s one of my favourite books 💜📖
Love this video idea and would love if you made it a series! I read All the Light You Cannot See with my book club and really enjoyed it!

Rachel I can’t wait for you to pick up all the light we cannot see! i read that book for my highschool english class and it is one of the best books i’ve ever read! so beautiful but it’s also a good one to discuss with others so maybe it would be fun for book club!
I'm just over half way through magnolia parks and what a roller-coaster ❤ i love it
I’d love to see a part 2 of this video! I definitely recommend Ninth House - I don’t consider myself a “smart” reader, but I was able to get a hang of it pretty quickly and it’s one of my top reads of this year 💕
i save your videos for the last thing i watch before bed because your channel is so comforting! thank you for the lovely content. 🤍🤍
I just finished All the Light You Cannot See. It is really great!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Babel! I avoided it for so long but then got it from the library this past summer. I inhaled it in 2 sittings! It's chunky but so fun.

Is it literary fiction?
@@prajjwalika It is mainly categorized as historical fiction.

I literally teared up watching you read THAT part.
6:38 the fact they I just want to get this book bc the cover in holographic, if I’m anything I’m a suckerrrr for pretty packaging. the amount of time I see something and don’t want or will ever use the product but the packing is so pretty i can’t 😂😂

Great series idea! Can’t wait to see the next one! 💜
I love that shimmery copy of Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow! I don’t think we have it in the US.
I can’t believe you DNFd One Day! Of all the books I’ve read it’s one of the only ones I’ve reread more than once and it means something different to me every time I return to it.
