No drug influences here, FZ was staunchly against drug use in his band, (Except cigarettes, he once said those, to him, were food 😄) if you used drugs in his employ you would very quickly find yourself unemployed. He was all about getting the best performances possible of the stuff he wrote; that meant dedication and long periods of rehearsal from the highly skilled musicians he employed - that all costs money - "Some rock musicians make a bunch of money and stick it up their noses--I stick mine in my ear." (He was all for legalization though.) The video was by a friend of his called Bruce Bickford, a master of the modelling clay stop motion animation. also, if you got caught using drugs whilst on tour with Frank, the biggest decision to be made was, if it was an aisle seat or a window seat, but you were definitely going home.

The context is in 1968 Erich von Däniken wrote a book called Chariots Of The Gods, one of the theories put forth in the book was that some of the lines on the Plains of Nazca in the Andes mountains of Peru were landing spots for UFO's "did a vehicle come from somewhere out there just to land in the Andes." The guacamole queen was a lady that worked at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, Texas and baked guacamole cookies for people that worked there, it's where the live portions of the Bongo Fury album were recorded.

No improvisation! (except part of the guitar solo) Take an instrumental audio next time and don't try to understand a concept. "What's new in Baltimore?" or "Little house I used to live in" (live Fillmore). If really need some sort of concept: "Cheepnis" (6:34) with an introduction!
@@erikahlander3489 I think you're getting confused because all the three 1974 versions of the song to have been released (so far) are compiled from the same set of live performances. Much of the vocals and instrumentation - and the entire keyboard solo - from this performance was used in the One Size Fits All track. But on that track the guitar solo is an edit/remix of the solo from the Helsinki version, which can be heard on Stage Vol. 2. And the guitar solos have a phrase or two in common, which is not surprising since they were recorded within a month of each other. To find out just how far out the solos in this song could - try any of the Shut Up... tracks in the box set of the same name, or Occam's Razor, or Gee I Like Your Pants - they're all excerpts from versions of Inca Roads.
@@Grithron2 OK! I have checked some versions of Chunga's revenge solos, and they start the same but soon diverge considerable! So I agree: FZ was not able to play the same song twice. (Just joking!) I saw him live several times, first time in 1973, and it was every time overwhelming! Many songs were not released yet, which made you feel privileged!
The torture never Stops would have been a more appropriate song at the 666 subscriber mark, which is where it's at as I'm viewing. There I'm number 667, I saved ya !

@@Grithron2 That's a great version, but it doesn't have near the impact or sense of the song as the original version with Gail and her friend being tortured in the background, I think a first time listener should listen to the original to get a good feel for the song, then venture into the myriad other versions. Vinnie's fantastic, but I'm just fine with Terry, he was the first to play The Black Page ! Just my opinion. ☮ out !
