What is the most consistent weight and material of line do you use for bass fishing

Bro he said it, 50lb braid. He does it to be able to PULL bass out of cover. Bass go into weeds to take tension off the line and shake the hook free. Plenty of times kayak fishing I'll pull myself towards a hooked bass who went into cover, only to get to him and realize he's gone, because I didn't pull him out fast enough. 20-30 pound braid is all I use, but when you hear people say 40-50 lb braid in bass fishing it's for flipping and pitching into heavy cover, or not fearing an aggressive PULL out of cover.
