Hello, love your video. I just ordered some seeds! I was searching videos to learn about nesting mourning doves and found yours. I have a pair nesting on my patio in a pot of last year's dried thyme. I'll post the pic on my page soon...
That is not their full diet. Their parents start to leave seeds in the nest so that they can start looking and pecking for food. So providing more seeds for them to peck on is part of their training.
@@cynthiabasu don't interfere please 🥺. That pappa dove definitely has been born in your home , he trusts you but he doesn't cut your hand when you doing something wrong. Btw when you pickup too much time a wild baby bird , you're arising the chance to being hunted in outside

Nice video but why are you feeding a fledging chick water and seeds ?😢 After they leave nest , they should feed by parents for another 2 weeks
