I really needed this! I’m a young academy goalkeeper, and my shot-stopping ability is decent, but my distribution and ball work is still below par. Thanks Conor! Good luck with your career!
Quality distribution Conor 👌🏼 To those who question why you need to be as good with both sides - I’ve noticed Lloris often throwing with his right arm since returning after his left elbow dislocation (he’s left-handed) - injuries could dictate you use the non-dominant foot too, so it’s a great idea to practice both
distribution is the key asset nowadays and it cant be neglected. Always work on distribution with both feet side volleys, half volleys, goalkicks, throws are vital now.
I've got a 12 year old son who is in goal for his local team but distribution is such a weak point for him, especially goal kicks. I try to get him to follow some of your drills but he gets so frustrated that he can't do it. Have you done any REALLY basic videos about how to set the ball, how to make contact with it from goal kicks and basic techniques for drop kicks? Something that 12-13 year olds could benefit from? Love your content and love following your journey!!!
My kicking was the worst part of my game at that age, and it was only as I started to grow/gain strength that I could improve distance. The technique that I focused on at that age was striking the ball with an open foot to get as much back spin as possible. Then as I got older, I started to try/practice different techniques
You have a better weak foot then a lot of pro outfield players mate 👏 the half volley and side volley are very difficult on the weaker foot, v impressed keep it up mate

So I guess it’s just about the process of practicing it now
I think you should go to England Scotland or Ireland because it is easier to get noticed
I was a goalkeeper when i was like 8 to about 15 but i startet to play as a striker instead beacuse it went to serious and i cried over every single mistake. But now im 22 and I play in Div5 but i dont like it and I miss goalkeeping. What should I do? ( I was a talent in goalkeeper they said).
Go for it! It's up to you, but I always say play where you enjoy the game the most!
any tips to increase distance on the long balls?
Connection/timing and also improving leg strength/Power will help!
