Ocean Beach Mello Meltdown. Surfing in San Francisco.

Ocean Beach has been like this since the 50's. I remember watching the surfers, then going out to Playland at the Beach, riding the rides then eating at The Hot House or get a pie from the Pie Shop, then walking up to the Cliff House and Sutro's. Not the same now. Just Ocean Beach and the surfers and now condos

This was a rare season for OB and I got it for the first time. I was on a shortboard from fall through the winter and I see why and how I got away with it. It was big enough but more medium-sized swell energy for OB. This, along with fall conditions, persisted. I keep reliving this time in my mind.
