Our language is not perfect but as Catholic people we understand what and why we are asking the Holiest Creature of Our God to assist us. When my children were just learning to speak I knew what they were asking even if the words weren't all there, so it is with Mother Mary and us. God bless.

I too struggle with addiction. I have come to understand that we are all addicted to sin in one form or another. You don't mention your kind of addiction but Alcoholics Anonymous is very helpful for alcohol and drug addiction. God Bless you in your struggle.

May I bring hope for your daughter that with Mary's intercession of prayer she will 'grow out' of her learning difficulties. My blessed grandmother prayed to Mary for when as a child, I did very poorly in school. I had a learning deficit myself and eventually dropped out of school in the 10th grade. I say this to bring you hope that she can recover, as I did. Today, with initial efforts, I hold a Masters degree!! Amen
