    NEW LEGO Batman Tumbler 76240 update: If you like this but are more the Nolan Batman The Dark Knight type of person, I have seen the first images and videos on the 2021 Batman Tumbler remake (It appears to be official LEGO promo material (link below) Besides the front, especially the gunner seat, looking even better than before it looks like basically the same frame as the older version. They gave it also the tractor wheels (finally!) but I also used them on my own prototype (not in the video) So I am pretty confident that my 76023 conversion will also work on the new LEGO 76240. I will make dedicated Instructions asap anyway.
    Leaked promo footage on amazon: www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/76240/dp/B08XD62V41/
    My conversion of the 76023: th-cam.com/video/UBAnjK6yy3s/w-d-xo.html

    How do you have only just over 200 subscribers?! You’re a GENIUS. I watched this after seeing the Ecto-1 video.
    Can’t wait to get my hands on these two kits and do this myself. Thank you so much for all the work you’ve put in here.

    How can I buy the moc description? Until now, it was found on the rebrickable website. But now everything is gone.
    I would also be interested in the description of the delorean, goshbusters and tumbler moc.
    Thank you in advance for your reply.

    I bought the instructions you made: I confirm that they are perfectly understandable and detailed, and I warmly recommend them to those who would still hesitate. I would like to ask you for advice regarding the power supply: if we don't consider the price difference, which is more appropriate between a Buwizz 2.0 and an SBrick? I mean, is your Sbrick control program also usable to control a Buwizz? Do Buwizzes offer more power and speed, as the voltage seems to suggest? Thanks in advance.

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      wow thanks. Actually sbrick brought out a pay-version of it's app to control all the other systems out there. Never tried it though. The buwizz comes with its own battery, that is very practical if you're not into soldering. The buwizz battery not only alows 12V but also a higher Ampere rate. So it's plug and play and the programming is easy, so you can program something to run the features of the batmobile.
      I prefered using the sbrick though, because that way I could choose the size of the battery and it was much cheaper in the end. You do need some RC battery charger for that though. Hope that'll help you.

  • @asadraja377
    @asadraja377 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    That really looks incredible. The lights add a whole new dimension to it. The editing was spot on too.
    I noticed from your instructions that you used PF for motorization. Would it be possible to motorize it with Powered up, like you did with the Ecto-1? Thanks.

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Maybe it would, but firstly it would be a completely new build because powered up motors are a bit larger and I am not sure I'd be able to squeeze the longer L motors into the rear. Right now the power functions just fit.
      Anyway: what for exactly?

    • @asadraja377
      @asadraja377 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@recklessglitch The PF stuff has been retired since last year and is very expensive in the used market. I guess one needs space for the Technic Hub to have the functionality of the guns, cockpit, steering and power.

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@asadraja377 LONG VERISION (read conclusion below) Not really true: LEGO has retired THEIR power functions, "China" has not and for good reason. The marcket is there, people keep buying and if you'll watch my ECTO-1 video, you'll know about the problems with powered up. Even worse, LEGO has started to retire some of the powered up things again already, so who knows what will be out there next years
      I wrote quite a bit about it on the rebrikable page of the batmobile (there is a HINT there which LEGO set to buy second hand to get cheap power functions)
      CONCLUSION
      - Power functions are still supported by the 3rd party suppliers like buwizz and sbrick
      - If second hand Power Functions are too expensive for you (they are for me), buy chinese. I tried Cada, the motors are okay (just dont buy the extra fast editions, like mould king dark, they are crap)
      - China servos are soso, If you need a precision servo, buy second hand LEGO sets that include a servo
      - china battery boxes are rubbish (good for testing though)
      - if you want to do robotics, THEN get powered up and maybe a buwizz

    A big fan of lego from China. And I am obsessed with the tech series and motorizing them. Just get the ghostbusters set during double 11 Festival at quite a reasonable price. Can’t wait to prepare the extra bricks for the kit🤩
    Many thanks for the effort you put into it!! ❤️❤️

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      piece of advice: DONT USE CHINESE GEARS, especially for the driving part, they will most propably break (guess, how I know...)
      And before using any chinese 1x3 tiles, check if they sit correctly. I had some once that moved when used as sliders, blocking some mechanics.
      Had to cut away a little bit of plastic on the bottom in the middle (from the molding process) to make sit tight. Yeah LEGO is expensive but still much better quality of production and of material - not to talk abou that they put a lot of work into developing these high class models in the first place.

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and I dont reccomend chinese controll boxes, they deliver only 7.5 V and that's lame. And dont buy the faster version of the chinese PF motors (mould king and cada offer them, i think they are called black edition or something) they may be faster when spinning free, but under load they are not, just less torque and when i say load i mean 3.5 kg here, alright. So get the basic motors, they are better.

    • @cindyyu8282
      @cindyyu8282 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@recklessglitch yeah, sure have heard a little about Chinese brand mould king, I have never eeeeever tried their bricks. And we call it a combined version without any original spirit.So I got all extra bricks from online second- hand shop and an amazing Taobao store. Literally they got everything you can name( definitely worth a try

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the hint. By the way, since LEGO PF servos have become pretty expensive, I have used a cada servo here. But they only have 3 positions (LEGO had 15). So in case you try any other company and come across a good servo with more than 3 steps, please tell me.

    • @recklessglitch
      @recklessglitch  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oi, that will take some time i guess. The power functions are the most expensive extra parts. The LEGO servo especially. It is the best one but you can get them a lot cheaper from other companies like cada. I tried cada. Instead of 15 different angles like LEGO had it it only has 3: left center right. decide yourself if youre okay with it. Get the motors and cables from wherever, just not the fast ones from mould king, they are not very powerfull. Good luck
