It's lovely up there, did you go to the Tibet Hütte cafe up the top of Stelvio? Such great food 😊 One tip for riding the hairpins, when you've got the right-hand hairpins, if the bike's turning circle isn't great, swing over to the left side of the road before the hairpin so that when you make the turn you exit the corner on your side of the road. Running wide on the exit is risky business up there and there are a lot of bad drivers and riders. If you go wide before the corner and then cut in you don't risk getting hit by people speeding uphill. Great video anyway, look forward to catching up when you're back in the UK. If you get a chance and you find yourself around the Avignon region in France, go visit a little place called Fontaine-De-Vaucluse. Thank me later 😊
@@BritishTeaBiker Thanks, Megan. As it happens, we are heading towards Avignon or thereabouts. Rock climbing and motorcycling in the Verdon Gorge. We'll certainly check out your recommendation! We'll be at bike night at Wasdale as soon as we get home. (Three weeks yet!)
@@MightyGuruYoghourt ah awesome, well definitely check it out. It's one of those spots that's not really common with tourists outside of France. Very cool and historical place with a river that comes out of a cave up in the hills and then comes down through the town. Easily one of the most picturesque places in France, it's like it belongs in a studio Ghibli animation. I'll miss you when you get back, I'll be off touring on my bike back around Europe again 😅
@@MaurizioTriumph Hi Maurizio, and thanks for the comment. I found the Stelvio Pass very challenging on a cruiser, it's true. But having said that, I planned accordingly and made an early start to avoid too much traffic. During my time on the Umbrail and Stelvio Passes I saw numerous Harley's, a Honda Goldwing and dozens of Vespas! With a wheelbase of 1645cm I knew that my XVS650 was going to make the journey difficult, but I have been riding motorcycles for four decades! I'm glad that I did it. Verdon Gorge tomorrow!
@@MightyGuruYoghourt I don't like the Stelvio, I find it too "dangerous" for what it offers. There are great places with beautiful views but also beautiful as a road. The Gorges du Verdon for example, lucky you, one day I'll do them too because they must be truly stupendous. I also love Switzerland a lot, it has some really beautiful passes and landscapes.
Jesus Christ, is this the first time to ride a pass? You should not take the most difficult pass, try an easier one first and maybe go back to driving school.
Great video and now on my bucket list ❤️👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! You are a very brave person to ride the Umbrail and the Stelvio with those driving skills !
Sto pensando di farlo con la mia Shadow VT750C, Dio mi benedica! ah ah ah
wrong line choice, no bike leaning, low speed.... just to watch you is scary 😱
Yeah, you really must go and do it!

@@BritishTeaBiker And yeah, I wish I'd brought the GSX for Stelvio!

😂 I couldn’t but laugh watching this, go back to a GS😂
@@tiberiustouring8153 Not happening! Things are much more challenging on inappropriate motorcycles!
can't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That bike is not suitable for taking the Stelvio pass. You were lucky to find no traffic.

Some wide turns on narrow bends, well done dude. Looks amazing
Not an easy pass, I went there for the first time with my r6, I was sweating my ahh off
@@ilcringe Can't pretend it's not the scariest thing I ever did on a motorcycle!
