Was not expecting the Mythosaur to be so large. Riding that would be like Fremen riding Sandworms in Dune. And Din raising the Darksaber aloft while on top of it would make for a badass image.
Yeahhhhh, I feel like it's just a little bit too big. But given the lore perhaps this is a massively ancient one compared to some normal 'domesticated' ones. Get some great zillo beast vs mythosaur vibes Very first avatar ride and bond with the giant red flying bird
In the (now-Legends) books from Karen Traviss, they talk about having a Mythosaur skull outside the capital city that ends up being used to house an Imperial detachment (maybe a garrison?). So I'm pretty sure they've always been pretty chonky boys.
I mean look at the Krayt Dragon lol but it's really cool that they are incorporating creatures that could only have been visualized in books and animated shows.
HO-LY-COW. - I couldn't stop thinking of Maul when I saw those ruins. It's like his ghost still haunts Sundari. And then that creepy cyborg thing was so reminiscent of him with a spider body. - Bo calling Grogu a Jedi and him being afraid of the lizards and then CONFRONTING HIS FEARS and in that moment turning the LIGHT on! OMG!
I love how this series is exploring the clashing and unification of of different sects within a culture. I was raised in a nondenominational Christian church w/ very loud, soft rock and Gospel-inspired Worship music and pastors who wear sneakers. I recently had to visit a traditional Catholic Church for one of my journalism classes where the only instrument used was an organ and much of the music was performed in Latin and the preacher wore liturgical garments. There was a lot of culture shock b/t me and my friend who I had bring me there. There were a lot of elements to my expression of faith which weren’t present and there were some traditions which I had never participated in that my friend thought were performed at every church. A lot of scenes in this episode of The Mandalorian had me reflecting on my real life experiences like that
I don’t know about anyone else, but the design of the eyeball-spider-droid-thing hit me on a deep body horror level, that thing was freaky! Reminded me of Greivous’ Lair seeing him be disembodied, skittering around. The tubes, the eye floating behind glass, the mystery of the character… loved it!!
The Mythosaur! What a banger of an episode! Grogu learning, becoming close to talking, and uniting Din and Bo Katan! Both wielding the Dark Saber. Both sharing their history and understanding of their culture. Great creatures. But the Mythosaur! Looks like Bo and Din may team up. Can't wait to see a Mandalorian ride the Mythosaur, hopefully Din or perhaps the two together. More, more, more!!
almost like whale in finding nemo and dory in the kids show got in the whale mouth i see was not funny for now so be in the way in continues with its second episode “Living Waters” hiding the creature that attacked Din The third season of the Mandalorian titled “The Mines of Mandalore for now it happen i see. In the world of Star Wars, Grand Admiral Thrawn (real name Mitth'raw'nuruodo, so eat your heart out ‘Grogu’) is an alien (from a species called the Chiss) who serves as a senior officer within the Empire.Noted for his ruthlessness and tactical acumen, Thrawn makes a point of “knowing his enemy” to the extent that he spends considerable time researching a species’ philosophy, art and culture, turning this information to his advantage in a storied military career.
I was not expecting us to go to the mines so soon, and they telegraphed the Mythosaur so well. Even Bo-Katan mid-episode was like "makes you wonder what else survived" and that was just the perfect throwaway line that made me think we'd see the Mythosaur, but the reveal was still amazing
My two favorite moments from this were the ending (of course) and the exchange between Bo-Katan and Din regarding Bo's father. You could feel their reactions, the surprise and respect, throughout. Especially when Bo-Katan spoke of her father dying in defense of Mandalore and Din responds with "This is the Way" with an almost religious reverence for the actions of Bo's lost father and the surprise from Bo-Katan.
I saw the Mythosaur during that scene and at first thought, "woah, is that preserved by the living waters, is that like a mummified corpse?" then the creature moved and I was like "OMG IT'S ALIVE"
I am so glad that I watched The Clone Wars and Rebels a few years ago, it makes episodes like this so satisfying. Seeing characters and places we know elsewhere living on in live-action and getting to see their story continued and expanded upon is awesome.
Loved the episode, and the creature design was so cool to see. Plus, Bo-Katan using her grapple cord to grab the darksaber had to be a call back to the times we've seen a Jedi use the force to grab their lightsaber just in time to defend themselves.
That was really cool. Also a call back to Rebels. Sabine pulled the exact same move when Kanan was training her to wield the Dark Saber. I always loved the line Kanan said right after knocking it out of Sabine's hands. "You can't rely solely on the blade, you must use all your skills together." Right then the lightbulb went off and Sabine remembered that she had tricks like a grappling line in her gauntlet. Really cool to see it done in love action by Bo-katan.
@@andyd6622 you're right, I had forgotten about that scene in Rebels (need to do a rewatch after my chronological CW rewatch). I love that the show has callbacks to other shows that don't REQUIRE that you've seen the other shows to enjoy them.
Bo Katan is the fierce lady. Ahsoka is the nice lady. And when we meet Sabine, she will be the cool lady. All Grogu’s aunties. 😊 Edit: Peli is the funny lady. 😆
I love watching these right after each episode, gives me so much more understanding of all the series, it was essential part of my Andor experience, and now I’m loving it during the Mando, thanks for all your hard work!
It’s true. The Mandalorian, the Mythosaur. All of it, it’s all true. I really love that this season appears to be very Mandalorian forward in the storytelling. Bo Katan representing the old guard; the warriors of Mandalore that perished protecting their planet and the Armorer representing the traditions, creed, and lore of old and how they needed to flee and never return in order to protect their heritage. And then there’s Din, who is struggling now between the two. Love love love it.
I love this interpretation of the Mythosaur, it actually looks like the skull unlike most other interpretations that have existed where it just looks like a generic dragon, I also like the idea that like some real world animals, it probably never stops growing and has just continued to get bigger and bigger through the centuries
14:26 This reminds me of how Favreau said The Mandalorian was like taking your favorite action figures and making a story with them. This kind of scene is something I didn't know I wanted to see
I really liked how we could see Bo Katan transform from this depression and failure state when she cared just about claiming the throne to this. I can see the bond slowly forging between them, setting differences aside. They shared their experiences and opinions and maybe re-evaluated their views. After all like Bo Katan said, it hurts so much to see Mandalorians fight each other
Seeing a live action Bo-Katan use the dark saber and seeing a living mythosaur made me cry. I still remember the first time I saw the skeleton on the cover on the old Marvel cover as a kid.
Obviously Maul is dead, but I feel like the spider could likely be some metaphoric call back to him. The yellow eye that was heavily focused on in season 7, the spider-like body, and the need to spill Mandalorian blood to stay in power. A dark reminder of Maul’s tyranny over the Mandalorians.
Sabine also had to confront and move on from her past in order to wield the Darksaber. Speaking of her, does Bo-Katan know that she didn't win it combat, but recovered it from Maul's weird hate-shrine on Dathomir?
I think Din Djarin is the Chosen One. He didn't know about or care about the Dark Saber, yet it ends up in his possession. The great Mythosaur was thought to have been extinct, but Din gets attacked by one when he is attempting to regain his honor. I think this episode is about Bo Katan realizing that there is something special about Din. Remember, with Mandalorians, it's not just about the symbols, it's also about the story. When word gets out that a great mythosaur attacked Din, it will be considered a sign. "The songs of eons past foretold of the Mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore.”
I don't think the Mythosaur attacked Din. I think Din fell off the ledge and his armor dropped him to the bottom. Since Din didn't have his jetpack, he was a slave to gravity. The Mythosaur revealed itself to the two Mandalorains, but seemed to more just be watching him and didn't attack them as they went by. It moved off.
@@rayguym33 lol yeah, he wasn't awoken by woman swimming by him with a flaming jetpack. It was a telepathic thing with the guy he let sink to the lake floor.... ok. Occam's Razor time: Din fell off the precipice. His armor was too heavy. He sank to the floor. The Mythosaur just looked at the two going back to the surface like "Man... I was trying to sleep guys" before turning and moving away casually. lol
Din wasn’t attacked he simply stepped off a steep drop. I suspect that before the empire bombed the planet, the floor under the water was shallow, but the bombing caused it to collapse, those revealing the Mythosaur, much as a large EMP bomb on Malastare caused a giant crater to open, and released the zillobeast, which had also long thought to have been extinct.
The idea of din, Bo katan and boba fighting together with the darksaber created such a vivid image in my mind it'd be amazing. I think Sabine deserves to be in there too though as a former wielder of the darksaber and character who is likely to appear. The foundling, the heiress, the clone and the rebel
Same here. Boba, Din and Bo fighting together while Sabine watches in awe with a smile. Finally realizing that there can be more than one Manda'lor and if they all work together. They will be a "Force" of Nature and the Mandalorian way.
It occurred to me with all the dogma surrounding the planet being cursed, cursed, cursed that the Watch's whole status quo is based on the legend of that curse that exists because everyone but them lost The Way, and that Din coming back and confirming that the curse doesn't actually exist might not actually be something The Armorer wants.
Seeing a actual real mythosaur was one of my top 5 favorite moments in Star Wars , I honestly never thought I would ever see one in any Star Wars show or movie , it was brief but man the legend and the symbolism behind that just makes it so damn special , and I thought seeing a Krayt dragon was awesome ! This is crazy!!!!
I got huge vibes of the Mines of Moria section of LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring. Both end with a mythical horned beast - one in water, one in fire. I suspect this isn't accidental. Also we seem to be headed towards the "Return of the King (or Queen)" of Mandalore!
I love how Bo Katan did NOT hesitate to dive RIGHT into the water after he dropped out of sight. No hemming or hawing, just BAM! Also, is R5 the next SWE Lego project? 😁 It's not grey! There's even red involved!
I believe that similar to Sabine, Din is going to have to confront his past and realize that their is more to Mandalore than the cult he grew up in, I believe this is why he still struggles to wield the dark saber even after getting grugo back. He is still fighting against the blade, once he realizes his true purpose he will command the dark saber and reunite all of mandalore!
Great to see swords, wands and rings choose their master or present to a worthy wielder. The Argonath vibes and Mandalore Lore rich episode was amazing. Livery and iconography based on a creature, love to see it.
I wonder if Peli saying "did he just say his first word" about Grogu is meant to warm us up to the idea of him saying his first word. It better be "daddy!"
Hearing Bo talk about having taken the Creed with her Father, especially publicly, really makes me wonder just how old she is, and how her whole timeline fits in to the greater Mando lore. She took the Creed, but the creed is only for the Watch? Her father died fighting for mandalore, but against who? She's presumably younger than her sister, but her sister is as old as Obi-wan was, and came to power as a kid? It's all over the place.
I absolutely loved this episode this week absolutely beautiful, It was good to see Bo Katan in action again. Seeing her fight with the darksaber was just so beautiful. Seeing her compassion and love for Mandalore is so beautiful. I love how she is prepared to bitchslap Din for coming back until she sees that it’s just lil Grogu and immediately says “What happened to your dad” This might just be me here but is anyone else sensing chemistry between Din and Bo Katan, I think they may be developing feelings for each other. Again this might just be me but if Jon favreau is going down that route I’d be more than willing to except it. Ik there is an age gap but it’s not too bad. The action in this episode was fantastic, the effects are beautiful and I’m really glad we didn’t get a filler episode, it picked up right from where we left off which is great. The cliffhanger we got left on was annoyingly good. I also loved the scene with Din explaining to Grogu the star charts. It was very sweet and heart warming. I like that they also teased Grogu speaking. It’s well seen that favreau and Filoni have been given more creative liberty. I’m loving the Alien designs they aren’t shabby or cheesy. Overall a great episode imo and I can’t wait for ep3 to see where the show goes. This is my personal opinion you may disagree and that is fine. To each their own as they say. Xx
After being underwhelmed by the season premiere this was unbelievable. What an episode and what a story we have to look forward to. Appreciate your love for Star Wars and your insight just adds so much more to something I already enjoy so much - always look forward to your reviews
No one would have known about the Mythosaur had it not been for Din removing his helmet. Din only removed his helmet for Grogu, 1st to save him, 2nd to say goodbye. Din had Grogu as a foundling because he'd rescued him from Niktos, bounty hunters, Dr. Pershing, etc. Starting it all was the Armorer and as a result; he met other Mandalorians and allies. Din's got the best proof of having bathed in the Living Waters by being baptized by the Mythosaur as he recited the creed. Bo-katan saw & heard everything Din did with confirmation of the Mythosaur. WOW❣️❣️❣️❣️
It was easily some of the best Star Wars content I've seen. Was NOT expecting to even get to see a literal Mythosaur but now I want Din to ride him so bad while he raises the darksaber atop of it. The history, the nostalgia it all perfectly came together and I now can't wait for the next episode
I half expected the mythosaur legend to refer to the small dragon like creature that scared Grogu on his way out of the mine, but this is so much better
I had the impression that at the end when Bo Katan sees Din reciting the creed it made her inner fire burn again. Even if she believes Din's tribe is a bunch of sillies, seeing Din fully embracing the creed and giving all of himself to it, makes me think that she couldn't help but admire him at that moment. Amazing episode anyway! It will be hard for me to exist until next Wednesday u.u
To be honest I think that’s what happened. She took so meny Ls she took on a defeatist attitude retreating back to memories instead. She did see and even lead her people from a great civilization to that ruin it is now
When you said Boba, Bo, and Din fighting together it gave me the idea that they could be a awesome trinity, just like Iron Man, Cap and Thor, or Batman, Supes, and Wonder Women.
I figured that din was gonna go to the living waters and find a mythosar but I didn’t expect it in the second episode! Like wtf is gonna happen the rest of the season!?
@@Bas-TB It tends to happen. Bad batch is on a very dark course while remains more dark humor than anything. Mandalorian is more of a brighter bit comedial at certain times.
@@sinisterisrandom8537 I love that the main group is like stuck in boring side quests, while the empire is actively taking out their brothers. Crosshair seems to be ready for the 2 part season final, will the Batch be there in time to save him or will he be some kind of enhanced endboss?
This is clearly building up to something big. I have no idea where the story will go because pretty much everything we knew beforehand about season 3 has already happened and that means the rest will be a complete surprise which is awesome. I think the show is building up to Din Djarin and Bo Katan realizing there is no one "right" way to be mandalorian and try to unite all the factions under one. The children of the watch allowed to follow their beliefs, the less strict mandalorians theirs, but united by their shaedd history and culture and under a leader who understands that these differences shouldn't divide them.
I loved the droid/cyborg thing, it felt like a nice throwback to mysterious fantasy monsters without a fleshed-out backstory and lore, IE what the dianoga and wampa were before we got EU stories and encyclopedias.
I love love loved this episode! Probably my favorite in the series so far. Also, I was sure that the Mythosaur or at least something would attack them from the water after she read the writing but I really liked the fact that we only saw a glimpse of the creature just calmly turning away.
That droid-cyborg thing is definitely a Bionicle. But yeah it was cool as hell seeing something in Star Wars that was *that* new. It felt like nothing we've seen before and opened up my imagination in a big way. I've become to used to Star Wars being a bunch of familiar things popping up again and again.
I heard somewhere that IG-11 is still going to be repaired and used as an armed mech for Grogu when he's not in his stroller! (even though the stroller helped save the day in this episode)
I look forward to your breakdowns as much as I do the episodes. Always so well thought through and presented. Thanks for creating great content for the fans. I'm 41 years old and only got into SW through my son. Now we watch the Mando (or whatever), watch your episodes independently, and then discuss them all together. Your stuff is great for a 41 year old and great for a 9 year old.
There’s a case to be made that the Darksaber is now rightfully Bo Katan’s. Din was defeated by the robo-thing, which pulled the saber off him, becoming its new master. Bo Katan then defeated it.
The symbolism of BOTH Din Jarin AND Bo Katan "bathing" in the waters of Mandalore.... a baptism or affirmation of each of their faiths in what they believe is the core of Mandalorian culture. One is a Mandalorian "knight" and one the other is a Mandalorian "princess"..... each will somehow lead their people by the end of the series.
@@moodswinggaming2972 Honestly, I thought about that at the begining of the episode but was against it, I didn't want Bo Katan to be downgraded to a "trophy girl"... But by the end of the episode I can't deny their is something of a chemistry between the two that could work.
12:52 what drag him under the water? You seem the same episode I did. Wasn’t Dan walking into the water descending as if he was walking down the steps? When Bokoatan jump into the water didn’t you notice all the cliffs and edges as she was swimming down to get din? Didn’t you noticed him as she was swimming back up with him all the clips and edges? Don’t you think din was walking down and or on these steps or cliffs and fail? You can’t say it was the Mythasore, because it was sleep, and totally unaware that they were both in the water until Bokatan flashlight Gray’s department, and made contact with its eye! Like seriously I watch that episode three times since midnight last night. And there’s no way he was pulled under the water he simply fell….
Fantastic episode! Din teaching Bo Katan to feel awe at the things she scoffs at, to see the value in their shared traditions is SO cool. I totally agree - I’d love to see them BOTH lead! (Like Our Flag Means Death: co-captains) I’m not sure if Boba is interested, but sure why not lol
That episode felt like a season finale. Like I'm mentally not prepared for the ramifications of that scene to be presented by next week. A cliffhanger like that is usually meant to ferment in the community for months not days 😆
1) The mechanical creature freaked me out. Its designs don't feel very _Star Wars_ to me, but I love it. They felt like the Stalkers from _Mortal Engines,_ or the Grievers from _The Maze Runner._ 2) My Dad pointed out to me that the Alamites greatly resemble the Morlocks from H.G. Wells' _The Time Machine._ 3) It's a very small and petty complaint, but I don't see why Bo-Katan'a blasters were given the yellow colour but not the "Mandalorian blaster" sound effect.
I definitely share in your excitement!! Watching y'all off and on for roughly 5 years now! Love the Star Wars love! Regarding IG-11, I think they are bringing him back as a replacement Marshal for Cara Dune. So with the Mines of Mandalore arc being what we get to this early in the season. I'm sure the need will arise for reviving IG-11 will continue into this season. Pirate invasion of Nevarro, perhaps. Again, I'm also ok with them saying, "Well we tried with IG-11" and leave his sacrifice as a sacrifice. Either way loving this season!! Thank you guys!
Did Mando... fall? Down the living waters? I don't think he was dragged by the mythosaur - he was just laying at the bottom, not in it's grasp, and it seemed pretty disinterested in them as Bo took his back to the surface. I think my guy just fell not expecting the drop off (and he didn't have his jet pack to make it back to the surface)
I completely agree with you I loved it! It was an exceptional episode and moved very swiftly into the storyline. I also was very impressed with the advanced nature of Bocatan and in my opinion it was so easy for her to yield the darksaber, she's an exceptional and experienced Warrior. I am in her Court as far as believing that she should still rule Mandalore and maybe unite everyone in a mutual control.
Glad I'm not the only one super intrigued about Bo-Katan's past after this episode. I remember even Filoni saying that he had ideas of how things would be for the Kryzes even when they were children, so we might be finally seeing some of that play out. If I were to guess what happened, for whatever reason Bo-Katan was more traditionalist than Satine and then she saw Satine take Mandalore in a direction she thought betrayed their culture, so either she was radicalised by someone or sought out Death Watch herself. I have to wonder what part their father played in the Civil War too, and if his death was what helped push the rift even further. I don't think we know for sure what side he was on, just that according to Bo he died protecting Mandalore. Also, that hypothetical of the three different Mandalorians (or at least sort of one if Boba even really considers himself one) sounds cool and a nice display of unity... but consider Sabine Wren there too. And I mean, she has her own perspective, someone who tried to stay connected to her culture but was forced to leave and rebel anyway. Let's see if we get our Sabine appearance this Season.
i would pay top dollar to see what you just described about Bo, Boba, and Din all throwing the dark saber back and forth between them as they fight side-by-side
I'm so glad we have this channel to come to and nerd out over SW at the same level as Alex. This episode blew my mind that we were going to Mandalore already, got more time with Bo-Katan (which I'm loving every moment of), AND got to see a f-ckin Mythosaw?! Insane.
The cyborg dude is thematically a vampire. An "undead" creature who needs to feed on the blood of others to continue it's unnaturally long existence. And the whole swapping bodies thing is kind of like how vampires can shape-shift. Also how Bo killed it by stabbing it in the heart. So fckin cool tbh. I'm stealing it for my Star Wars campaign
The funny thing is, I don't think anything actually dragged Din down; I'm pretty sure he literally went one step too far, because the stairs leading down into the waters end on that massive dropoff. He accidentally jumped into the abyss, and with all that Beskar he went down like a rock. I almost wonder how much the Armorer knew about the Living Waters, and if she thought he might just go and do that... But yeah, I keep expecting Bo-Katan to say something to Din along the lines of "I'm literally Mandalorian royalty, you know you don't _have_ to take a bath to remain a Mandalorian, right?"
You said "...something called pog soup, which she had never eaten". I think you meant "...which he had never eaten." Fantastic episode, by the way! Probably one of my top 3 of The Mandalorian. Also, Grogu's speech evolution and scenes with him commandering the pod and roaming around by himself are awesome.
The only thing I could think of during this episode is how much I want to learn about the history of Mandalore and Bo Katan. It’s history is a tragedy and I just want to know how it got to where it is today.
I think it's interesting how Bo keeps talking about the Mandalorian splinter groups being the ruin of their society and the reason the Empire was able to take them down so quickly...meanwhile she was a high up member of Death Watch. I have to wonder if they're going to have her involvement be a big reveal to the people who didn't watch the other shows. And as far as her believing the myth of the dark saber, I don't think she really does. Everyone else believes it which takes it from a myth to reality. If people aren't going to follow her without it or without her earning it through combat, then that's everyone else buying into it
Din Djarin: "So you rode a rancor, huh? Well, I rode a mythosaur." Boba Fett: "Dude, I rode a mythosaur too if you consider the Holiday Special to be canon. It's literally my first scene in all of Star Wars."
I believe Bo understands the significance of earning and wielding the Dark Saber the "right" way because when she first claimed it she failed as a leader. I believe the superstitions and traditions of Mandalore simply upset her. She doesn't want to jump through hoops because she feels she naturally is entitled to leadership, and that's why we hear her mock Din by saying, you lead them, just wave that thing around and they will follow. However in this episode I see her starting to respect Din's honor and commitment, especially after he showed such a respect for her father and all Mandalorians alike. Yes, there is something forming between them and they should unite Mandalore together. Both seeking redemption, but ultimately they will have to dawn a new age of Mandalore, a new culture. Notice how both times we see ceremonial Mandalorian rituals being performed in these last two episodes they are interrupted as if to tell us "This is not the way." There is no way the armorer will ever accept Bo Katan, so that is the conflict I believe we are heading into now.
Din's absolutely sincere "This is the Way" after she told him how her father died clearly hit her, same with him reciting the Creed the same way. Continuity nitpick, though: Grogu jumped from his hover-pram into the cockpit, and the fighter took off. But Grogu was then back in his hover-pram in Bo's ship on the way back to Mandalore, even though it had been left behind. And that central engine's length keeps changing. R5 dropped straight down onto the surface, but the engine extends well past the canopy/droid port in all of the exterior shots. Does it retract?
Bo-Katan gasping at the Mythosaur has me thinking that she is starting to believe Mandalore is not lost. The heart of the culture lives and whilst the surface has been destroyed it can be rebuilt.
I think there might be a love arc brewing between Din and Bo-katan. I would love to see them unite all the Mandalorians together and rule together as king and queen Din with the Darksaber and Bo as riding the mythasaur. I know this is unlikely but would be cool. Also I ultimately predict Grogu will become mada'lor not Din
The giant cyborg droid reminded me of old Star Wars games like kotor or the forced unleashed, where you would be exploring the depths of some trash heap and find a completely unknown monstrosity lurking there.
Knowing what Sundari looked like at its peak, seeing these ruins hurts so bad. What an incredible episode though!
Agreed
Completely felt the same
R.i.p. mandalores people.
Nice comment. I felt something seeing that. And felt it stronger when Bo Katan shares her thoughts about how it used to be etc.
It really looks depressing.
Bo-Katan diving in to save Din forces her to also bath in the living waters. So even by the children of the watch's standards she is now redeemed.
She saved him because she likes him
@@odstraven9941 She saved him because they are both Mandalorians.
Was not expecting the Mythosaur to be so large. Riding that would be like Fremen riding Sandworms in Dune. And Din raising the Darksaber aloft while on top of it would make for a badass image.

This episode is just too cool for words. The history, the nostalgia, the mystery, the horror, it's all just so good.
Bo wielded the Dark Saber like it was an extension of her arm. She has to best Din and claim it to lead Mandalore
@@joesides18 Does she though? Or is that an outdated tradition? Is violence the only way to success?

"You can't rely solely on the blade, you must use all your skills together."
Right then the lightbulb went off and Sabine remembered that she had tricks like a grappling line in her gauntlet.
Edit: Peli is the funny lady. 😆
That's the dumbest thing I've read in a while.
Maybe one of them is becoming his new mommy
Sabine is the dead lady. Wait a minute isn't it Satine with a T?
@@evilmindmula2373 Sabine and Satine are entirely different charakters.

His IG-11 sidequest isn’t forgotten. But after the half-season speedrun that was the first episode, this was a welcome, cohesive story.
This kind of scene is something I didn't know I wanted to see
That Cyborg really gave me Grievous vibes. Like I am certain that it's design must be connected to him in universe
I agree!! Even the sounds it made were reminiscent of grievous
@@sandwhich1172 literally just what I thought!
we shall call it... Baby Grievous!
What if its the eyeball trasher compactor species from a new hope?!
I dont think they are conected but I think his design and movement was in inspired by him
I really liked how we could see Bo Katan transform from this depression and failure state when she cared just about claiming the throne to this.
R5-D4 was always a fan favorite for me, it was great seeing him in the spotlight this time. Hope he becomes a main part of the cast.
He didn't get attacked by the Mythosaur. He sunk because of his beskar. The Mythosaur completely ignored Din & Bo by just swimming away.
The Mythosaur was awoken by the presence of the reincarnated Mandalore the Great who allegedly rode a mythosaur
Bo-Katan is really enjoyble character to watch
I love your idea at the end. How awesome would it be for all 3 of our favorite Mandalorian characters to lead their people on a new path together
Great to see swords, wands and rings choose their master or present to a worthy wielder. The Argonath vibes and Mandalore Lore rich episode was amazing. Livery and iconography based on a creature, love to see it.
Bo Katan was amazing in this episode
Facts
A little too amazing. Really had to save Mando’s life twice in 10 minutes?
@@CalQaida I mean she IS VERY experienced warrior and his name is Din no Mando. Cheers
Facts indeed
I wonder if Peli saying "did he just say his first word" about Grogu is meant to warm us up to the idea of him saying his first word. It better be "daddy!"
If Din does still somehow find an IG memory chip, IG-11 could be programmed to become Nevarro’s new Marshall.
That is an excellent connection you just made there.
I had the same idea! That seems likely.
Good job, buddy!
An excellent connection that is now canon.
I think it's fascinating how light the darksaber was in Bo-Katan's hands compared to Din- it seemed much more natural to her.
I absolutely loved this episode this week absolutely beautiful, It was good to see Bo Katan in action again. Seeing her fight with the darksaber was just so beautiful. Seeing her compassion and love for Mandalore is so beautiful. I love how she is prepared to bitchslap Din for coming back until she sees that it’s just lil Grogu and immediately says “What happened to your dad”
This might just be me here but is anyone else sensing chemistry between Din and Bo Katan, I think they may be developing feelings for each other.
The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch continue their high quality episodes. Enjoyed both!
Incredible to see the shots of Mandalore, stunning visuals
Seeing Bo like this makes me wonder if she spends all day living in a fantasy world in her head where everything is perfect.
Luke, Ahsoka and Sabine.
That scene with Bo Katan fighting with the Darksaber with her plasma shield was so f****** COOL! Major warrior princess vibes!!!
I figured that din was gonna go to the living waters and find a mythosar but I didn’t expect it in the second episode! Like wtf is gonna happen the rest of the season!?
I just finished the episode, and thats all I'm thinking right now! Like wtf this season is gonna be sooo good
Would be awesome if he reunties the mandalorians and they reconquer Mandalore and fight against the empirial remnant or something
Star Wars put out some of its best content with the Mandalorian and Bad Batch today
Absolutely! Bad Batch was incredible!!
I first watched the Mandalorian “isn’t Star Wars awesome”, than watched Bad Batch “isn’t Star Wars tragic AF.”
I was actually reminded of one of the original concepts for PROXY in The Force Unleashed, where he was a droid that was trying to become more organic.
@@Janoha17 It looked like General Grievous and the robot from Lost in Space
No one has talked about how Grogu has seemed to gotten closer to speaking
I loveeee your literatary analysis of Mando (and Andor)! It’s like literature class made fun
Well it looks Bo-Katan is a believer now she saw the Mythosaur that thought to be a myth.
i kinda feel like her and Din... y'know.. i ship them... got that vibe... who knows.. would be cool though.
@@moodswinggaming2972 Honestly, I thought about that at the begining of the episode but was against it, I didn't want Bo Katan to be downgraded to a "trophy girl"... But by the end of the episode I can't deny their is something of a chemistry between the two that could work.
@@gerardlacroix6015 so far thats what leaks said for the rest of season
Din and Bo are the heart of it.
In my head cannon whatever happened to Bo Katan to make her fight against her sister is the same event that saw Obi-wan and Satine get together.
Best Star Wars commentary, fan speculation and intelligent criticism on the net.
“The songs of eons past foretold of the Mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore. Sadly, it only exists in legends.”
I’m really surprised that din went to mandalore so early. I thought it take him the entire season to get there. Glad they chose this rout tho
They felt like the Stalkers from _Mortal Engines,_ or the Grievers from _The Maze Runner._
2) My Dad pointed out to me that the Alamites greatly resemble the Morlocks from H.G. Wells' _The Time Machine._
3) It's a very small and petty complaint, but I don't see why Bo-Katan'a blasters were given the yellow colour but not the "Mandalorian blaster" sound effect.
One of the best if not the best episode of the series so far
Lotta fun in this episode. To me this is Star Wars. New worlds, the force, lightsabers, spaceships, alien creatures, droids, action, and a fast pace.
Yes, but it also feels way to pirates of the Caribbean to me, 😆
But it would be amazing scene nonetheless
@@Skywalker7791 yes, this is most certainly the way
The humanoid creatures reminded me of Morlocks from The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. If it was intended in the production, amazing.
IG-11 may just be the Marshal hat Nevarro needs
I know it’s a typo, but now I want to see IG-11 wearing a cowboy hat!😂
I think you meant "...which he had never eaten."
Fantastic episode, by the way!
If people aren't going to follow her without it or without her earning it through combat, then that's everyone else buying into it
Love the passion as ever dude! My faith in SW was renewed with every ep of Mando. Can't wait for SW Celebrations.
That Mythosaur was a huge surprise! That alone should bring all the Mandolorians back!
Din should get the title:
*Manda’lor The Rebuilder*
Aww man! I am soo excited for the Mythosaur!
Din Djarin: "So you rode a rancor, huh? Well, I rode a mythosaur."
Boba Fett: "Dude, I rode a mythosaur too if you consider the Holiday Special to be canon.
Notice how both times we see ceremonial Mandalorian rituals being performed in these last two episodes they are interrupted as if to tell us "This is not the way."
There is no way the armorer will ever accept Bo Katan, so that is the conflict I believe we are heading into now.
Savage Opress is back as Spiderman.
What a day to be a Star Wars fan. Two mind-blowing shows on the same day. Bloody glorious!
I will watch this one again but it probably pretty much stands as one of my top 2 favorite episodes in the entire show
Great recap 🙂 This is the way
The giant cyborg droid reminded me of old Star Wars games like kotor or the forced unleashed, where you would be exploring the depths of some trash heap and find a completely unknown monstrosity lurking there.
