Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. In this video I do a review of the two newest editions to my classic sneaker collection, the Veja V-12 and Golden Goose High-Star Platform.

You need to break in veja for a few days because tongue is stiff and digging on your skin. Tip: put tongue to the side, don’t wear no show socks while breaking it and massage tongue (roll in and out etc) before using it. After 3 days it became more comfortable and I love them now :)
This was helpful. I hadn’t really had issues because I’d only worn them a few times in the colder months, but now that it’s getting warmer, I’ll probably wear them all the time and I’ll definitely remember this if the tongue starts cutting into me. Thank you!
GG doesn’t make sneakers in 1/2 sizes, which sucks for a lot of us. I’m one of those people who were in between sizes (size 41 = too snug, size 42 = too big) and experiencing the foot slipping out issue. I solved this by going with the size 42 and adding an insole with some tackiness to it. The insole solved both issues (the 42 being slightly too big AND the foot slippage problem). Hopefully this helps someone!

Hey thanks for the informative review : - ) I also wear a US 10 most of the time, rarely a 9.5 will do but in European sizes that is 41 so you would probably be a better fit for size 41. I live in Europe now and 99% of my shoes are size 41 Euro. So just to let others know as well if they are ordering online, US 9 would be a EURO 40, US 10 is a Euro 41.
Thank you for confirming that! I’ve since determined that I’ll order 41 in Euro sizes because I got another pair that was a bit too snug as well

Thank you for such a great review! I’m on the fence on getting a size 9. I wear 10 in Ugg and mostly in other shoes! But other reviews says the V12 comes bigger than normal so I was like maybe I need to size down to the 9! 😅😅 After watching you, I feel more confident to go for a size 10! Thank you!!!❤
I had the same problem with my Golden Goose sneakers. Went to the store and they suggested that I remove the insole as they are very thick. I did that and inserted my own insole. That did the trick. I was nervous to remove the insole because I thought it would ruin the sneaker but it doesn’t. It comes right out. All of the Golden Goose sneakers have the same insole. So it’s not the shoe. Also agree with your review of Veja! I have two pairs and they are both very comfortable!

Also, I just picked up the Veja Venturi and I like them a lot. I get compliments every time I wear them, my only complaint is I should have gone up half a size because I like to wear thicker socks and they fit too perfect for that.

@@tarynjones5437 let me know how you like them. The last two times I’ve worn them I’ve been stopped and asked the style name, so I’m guessing they are looking good on the feet!

Just ordered my first pair of V12 Veja . In a 39 . I already have two pairs of camp in a 39 fit perfectly. I hope these v12 fit me ok . I ordered them in light blue . Hello from Toronto . Great video 🎉

I have the Pure Star! Not a comfort shoe. My Brooks shoes are 10 times more comfortable !
For the golden goose I recommend pulling the laces up and then getting the sole out of the bottom and put the laces underneath it will take away the wideness

Thank you so much for the review. I am also US 10 and confused if I will get Golden goose in 40 or 41. Now I will go for 41 which is 27cm. Because 40 is just 26.3cm and my heel to toe measurement is 26.5cm.
I am also 10 Us but 41 in GG and most of the European sizes.
Great review (I'm a little late to the party, haha)... those Hi-Stars run pretty small. I wear a true womens 10 and the 41 was too narrow and short in the toe. Wondering if you ever figured out sizing in these? For example, in the Slides, 41 was perfect.

They are so stylish and comfortable. Definitely have my eye on a few different styles
So I would wear the same size as you in golden goose hi stars do they fit good with wide feet so I know!
I just ordered a pair of Golden Goose Hi Star today @ Nordstrom - $495. They are delivering it tomorrow. So excited. I ordered the exact colorway as yours, except the heel tab is in Black. I bought a pair of Balenciaga Speed Trainers back in Nov. 2020. I never wore them because I always felt late to the Speed Sock Sneaker trend. So I returned them today and ordered the Golden Goose. Because GGDM doesn't come in 1/2 sizes, I went up to the next size. I hope the width isn't too wide. I want to wear them with no show, thick and no socks. Love your sneakers.
I definitely wish I would have gone up to a 41, but I’d probably have a width issue. It was suggested that I replace the insole with a less thicker one and that may give me the little extra room I need. But every time I wear them they get more comfortable each time.
@@LifestylePeeper I never gave thought to the in-soles. I should've ordered down half a size rather than going up a half. I'm picking up my sneakers later today. If they are too big with/without in-soles, I'll exchange them and see how a half size down feels without in-soles. I'll just purchase orthopedic comfort in-soles that are thinner. Thanks again.
@@LifestylePeeper I received my GGDB Hi Star. Too big. I was going to exchange them for a size smaller than I saw the GGDB Pure Star and I ordered those. These are Golden Goose's New with No distressing sneakers.
Now I’m going to have to check the non-distressed ones out. I may be into those as well!

I love Veja's. I have the V10's and I am going to get the Campo's. Sadly, I don't have Golden Goose money.
GG is definitely a splurge, not really a necessity I feel like. My Vejas are my go to sneakers now. I want the black and white campos. I think I’ll grab those soon if I can find my size.
I have the Veja campo white sneaker in size 40 but need to break them in a little, they are stiff. I tried the 41 but it's too much room for me. I usually wear a size 9.5 in women's sneakers and a size 40 and 10 in heels.
I recently purchased the Venturi and wish I would have gone a half size up. They fit perfectly but don’t leave room for thicker socks which I like to wear. I decided to keep them because they are a lighter color way so I’ll probably mostly wear them in summer with no-show socks.
Are they broken in yet, mine were snug when I first wore them! Now they are super comfy
Yes! I’ve worn them a little more and they are way less stiff at the toe which makes me feel like I have a lot more room now.
Yikes. I’m so glad I saw this video because all the size charts say a US 10 equals an IT40 I’m GG. However, depending on the brand I can be a 40, 40.5 or 41. I also think there’s a difference in Italian sizing and EU sizing. I can be a UK 7 or 8. I can be an 8, 8.5 or 9 in men’s. Sheesh… I guess I’ll try the 41.
Yes! I’m always so confused because even after reading reviews and sizing charts, I’m still a hit or miss at times. Sometimes I come up just right or a little too perfect fitting so I said I’ll just start buying 41s across the board

Thanks for the review! I am very interested in GG but this review definitely makes me not want to pull the trigger. I am definitely happy to pay for quality however being comfortable to walk in is going to be paramount for a $500 sneaker 🤣
