- Painting with Fabric Part 3 will see us finishing off this piece of textile art. So far we have layered sheer fabrics onto a linen background along with some raw selvedge edges of fabric. This gave us a great landscape background that is like a painting. In this final part I will finish off with a few special threads inspired by nature to make this fabric artwork really stand out.

Wonderful results, and wonderful learning opportunity about using wide-ranging materials. I often find myself saying "No, no!" when watching fiber art videos, but not once in this whole series did that happen -- your channel is my current Happy Place 💚
Wonderful Gail! I am so happy you enjoyed it

It looks like the high desert, with mountains, washes and sagebushes. Beautiful 😊
It does! We don’t get too much of that were I am, but yes! It does look like that.
Amazing!! The colors are exquisite.
Thank you so much! I really liked the colours too!
Just lovely! The raffia grass really worked out perfectly.
Hi Marei. Do you call it raffia too? I used to make raffia sandals with a daisy wheel when I was a child. I wondered whether people would know what it was 😀
@@artfiberstitch yes...that's what I call it. 🙂

Tracey I the texture and colours in this piece are lovely. Raw and natural looking at it I can imagine it being a scene in the outback. 🌞🌻🦋

Looking at this, takes me on a walk through Autumn fields. A nice place to gather stems and pods and grasses for a centerpiece. God bless
Couldn't agree more! I have just bought back a lovely stem of dried leaves from my walk this morning!
❤❤😊
Thank you Valerie
I haven't been able to find pretty transparent fabrics at the thrift store. Do you buy yours online ?
The sheer fabrics here are actually curtain fabrics. But keep an eye out for interesting bits at the thrift store, especially clothes !
@@artfiberstitch, thanks a million 😊 🙏🏽 ❤️
