Great to see the island from a locals eye. Thanks Ian for exploring the places that we need to visit even as an islander myself it reminds me of how many lovely places there are to wander upon.
I remember walking from Blackgang before the new road had to be done. I went up onto St Catherine’s Down to the lighthouse and along the top to Hoy Monument then down to the village of Chale Green. Most of the Downs walk was done in very low clouds very spooky at times.
