I really want to know how physicians are able to just wake up from a deep sleep and still be coherent to perform a surgery? Do the surgeries not require any brain power because its hard to imagine being able to do anything mentally stimulating at 2 am haha
You ever fully fall asleep on call x)) it's just resting your eyes or body for a while and still being on edge from knowing someone will likely need you in the next minute ....also prep for surgeries take at least 10min (scrubbing and full review of the file) so you have amply the time to be ready mentally
Physicians do not perform surgery and secondly she is just a med student so she most likely is there just to observe or very minor thing to do so that she can learn from this for future if she chooses general surgery and most there's a whole team who has to check on everything including the surgeon he has to be very experienced in in order to be the lead surgeon and even he has an assistant surgeon so its very complicated and not any one gets up to do a surgery in middle of the night they have a proper system
Oh I’m so happy for youu! I also got into med school while watching Kian’s video’s to keep myself motivated. I dreamed around that time to be able to say ‘I’m a med student’. So I really know how you feel and am so happy for you! The world needs motivated doctors like us! The hardship only will get us to be better doctors at the end ☺️

How ironic. I just read today in your bio that your kidney is your favorite organ and today is my yearly surveillance ultrasound to see if my angiomyolipoma has grown. I some how put my case out of my thoughts all year until this dreaded day. I feel nautious from my nerves.
