- At 51 years old, Luis “Wicho” Rodriguez is proving that age isn’t anything but a number. This Puerto Rico native is using his passion for SE Bikes to not only have fun on his own, but to inspire everyone around him. You can expect to see Wicho raising it up around Daytona Beach and Puerto Rico for a long time to come. “When I sit on my bike, I forget bills. I forget problems. I forget work. All I’m focusing on is riding this bike.” Now get out and RIDE!

I’ve been doing wheelies for 19 years and it never gets old. I’m 40 now and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

@@nemo247 mmm not so sure. A smooth manual is a thing of wonderous beauty, but there’s something of the dramatic about a pure wheelie. It’s almost looks rebellious in its technique. IMHO 👍
@@donny2327 tastes are different i guess. cant argue there. for me it is the simple look of a manual, with it beeing way harder to do over a long distance. almost noone i know is able to do one. wheelies i do know many people tough.

I love this. I am 59 years old next month. I remember my first wheelie at 9 years old, and I too ride a PK Ripper :) amongst other bikes. I'm glad I'm not alone 👍👍👍
I'm close to this guy's age and have been depressed and sad for awhile now. I can't tell you how happy it made me listening to this guy talk and how passionate he is about bikes. Pretty cool. What he said about forgetting things like bills when he is on his bike is how I feel when I ride my motorcycle.
I'm 49. Currently I'm riding a 22 inch BMX. But I already have a 29er on top to get in 2021. I love seeing clips like this. No matter how old you are, enjoy yourself, get on a Big Ripper. And have some fun!

@@SAXONWARLORD1000AD it almost feels like the 20 inch bike I had years ago. I need to upgrade my brakes. I still have the stock ones. But I want to get a 26 inch BMX next. Not getting rid of my 22 though.
Im 50yrs an have been a rider for 40+ ! & was just talking with my girlfriend after...about my Custom Dwnhill Mtn Bike w/slicks(I prefer to ride street) & I love to pull 30mph Dwnhill Wheelies & relying only on the back brakes to keep it coasting all the way to downtown,what a great feeling,Thanks for reminding me my other favorite way to stay in shape & reduce stress.

This is exactly how I imagined a 51 yr old wheelie master to look!
I used to ride wheelies on my GT Pro back in the mid-late 80's. My record was 3.6 miles and It was tons of fun, my favorite trick of the few I knew. BTW I'm 52 myself.
In 1988 I became a paraplegic as a result of a my fault motorcycle accident.
As part of my rehabilitation I had to learn to wheelie the wheelchair in a stationary position and then of course move it on the back wheels. It came instinctively to me as a result.
Without the ability to wheelie (regarding those who are learning) a speedbump or curb, driveway lip, gravel, grass.....you get the picture, you're not going to be going too many places.
Wheelie lives matter!
Hell yeah! I bought an SE Draft Lite after college to get back into riding and that thing totally changed my life. Ended up making a ton of friends through cycling, getting healthier, and changing the way I view getting around the city. Even though my bike collection has grown and I've gotten "nicer" bikes over the years, I still have that Draft Lite and riding it still puts a huge smile on my face
I'm 51 and still race mountain bikes and ride moto. You have to keep playing and having fun. Good wheelies Wicho. You should do a video with Wyn Masters.

You’re truly inspiring to old school! I am 55 and I can still ride wheelies. Beach cruisers with coaster brakes were my favorite back in the day. You are the Doug Domokos of peddle bike!!!

I just turned 50 and lately I keep watching these SE Bike videos for some reason and I was thinking about getting a bike but kept thinking I'm too old. I think this video just changed my mind and I'm gonna get one! My only fear is that the 50 year old me won't be able to handle a wipeout like the 12 year old me could LOL.

Just bought my first se big flyer Sunday and I’m loving it so far. Never had a se bike and so far it’s leaving a great impression

Biking is such a great thing to do.
I love mountain biking as well, fast downhill with some good hits is my favorite.
Nothing beats motorized dirt bikes though.

I’m 42 and I ride a cannondale synapse road bike and a cannondale trail 7 hard tail mountain bike and god willing I’ll still be on my bikes until I die! I love cycling!

I am 47, I can do small jumps stuff but the wheelies and manuals I am still not good at but I won't give up riding because it's too much fun. If my Dad were still alive, I am sure he would have a go at one of my bikes with me. I remember when I got my first motorcycle and he hadn't ridden for years and just got on it and road it like a boss. He would have been the same on a bicycle. Fortunately I have a great if small group of guys I ride with.

I’m 59 years old and have decided to order an se bike. I ride a trek mountain bike. I can do a wheelie, but I never learned to do a Manuel. Watching this video makes feel just like him. When I’m on a bike I’m where I belong. I grew up on bmx bikes. And I’m going to ride til I die. Can’t wait to pull the trigger on a new bike, just not sure which one is the ONE.

I bought myself and my wife a couple of Sunday High C 29ers over the summer & our son a Cult Devotion 20 and it's true... you can't help but smile and feel free from all of the world's problems.
You don't need a brand name bike to start.... just get any bike, walmart, target, whatever, and get out there and enjoy yourselves. 😉👍
You can always upgrade down the line.

I need one of these. Im 48 now and when I was a kid in the 80s I was the town wheelie king I road my Ross and diamond back bikes on the back tire more than both on the ground. I started out popping up and counting peddle cranks then I finally learned balance point and it was over then. My dad use to love seeing me come up the road on the back tire all the way then turn into drive up our hill and into the front yard b4 front tire touched ground. Its been a long time and like this guy I could wheelie anything including one of my dads road racing 10speeds back in the day. But being out of practice last few mountain bikes I tried couldn't hold it very long. I know with practice I could get just as good as I was and this bike seems to be perfect bc its built like a big bmx bike more than a mountain bike.
