Each of the Yan Shou Gong sets condenses the best practices of the Nei Gong arts, making them: • Easy to learn. • Quick to practice. • Produce real internal skills. Many types of Nei/Qi Gong practices typically take years before a student feels any benefits from the training; Or even worse, the methods don’t produce any results. However, this is not the case with Yan Shou Gong, as the student will notice the benefits instantly, and in most instances, it can begin to deliver results within weeks. Yan Shou Gong also emphasizes the development of kinetic energy and the mind; in Chinese martial arts, these terms are referred to as Jin 勁 and Yi 意. It also teaches the practitioner how to perform techniques such as Grounding, Rooting, and Centering, creating awareness and mindfulness of being in the body. This can improve a practitioner’s martial abilities, but it can also help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. The comprehensive instruction provided in this course is ideal for martial artists who want to study an authentic Nei Gong system/internal art. It is also suitable for those who have previously been too busy, living a stressed-out lifestyle, and now need to work on improving their health. Inner-door Students Group: As well as the comprehensive video instruction provided within the course, Master Yap has created a private group to personally guide students studying the Yan Shou Gong (Shaolin Nei Gong) course with him. Access to the group is exclusive and only available to students who enroll in this course. Students can use the group to ask questions, discuss the video lessons and share their training experiences with the other pupils. I really hope one day I will be able to meet a master like this in person to feel this and to be able to know for sure if it is real or not. Because I don't think that you or Master Yap are dishonest (Yap seems like a great master and a great person btw) but this is simply too incredible and too mystic to believe in a video.
Nah its really just a trick. Not meaning it's not real, meaning how this is done is actually very simple and easy but it's shown as if its some great accomplishment or demo of skill. Give me a hour with a somewhat experienced martial artist and I could show them how to do this. The fact the charge people so much money for these classes is crazy to me.
@@LiShuBen Yes it is simple but it does take practice to make it battle worthy. Do you think 300 is a lot for this kind of training that's explained clearly and demystified? Most people spend that much with in 3 months of traditional classes in martial arts. I think they are being very fair.
@@whiteeagle7914 I think I got thus course mixed up with another one that is several thousand dollars. 300 seems fair for this, considering you're getting a whole routine to work
The energy arts, where the Chinese have done R & D for thousands of years. The Western mind struggles to comprehend this new level of physio-kinetic interplay.
That’s the problem. In its infinite arrogance, the western mind actually thinks it can comprehend this stuff on a rational level (without the prerequisite experiential training). This is why most “so-called” internal arts schools have devolved into garbage.
For those that are saying this would not work in a real fight, of course it would not work in a real fight. He's talking about body mechanics, not combat. Look at the title " Rooting, Sinking and Raising Energy". No where in that title is combat mentioned. In layman's terms, what he is doing is sinking his body into the ground to get a firm foundation, and having enough practice to be able to transfer the kinetic energy from his stance into the other person. It sounds mystical, but it's nothing more than practicing body sensitivity long enough to manipulate body mechanics. It's very scientific. Now, could you use the basic foundation of what he's talking about in combat? Of course you can, every grappling system in the world uses the same principle. But this particular video has nothing to do with fighting, only understanding and manipulating body mechanics.
Of course, if the master uses those 'body mechanics' to punch someone in the chest then the combat effects of it will be felt and it will probably be the last thing the opponent feels before shedding off his mortal coil! ;)
My teacher is Kenneth Chung with "Leung Sheung" lineage, this is a similar idea. Look up "Ben Der" he is on the same idea. Not many people talk about wing chun like this.
I'm curious about your thoughts on taking force into your center of mass rather than into the ground (Chu Shong Tin). For example, are you able to move your feet when "rooting".
@@WuzuquanSpain I think that the problem arises depending which model one uses. There are people who pay less attention to the rooting, and more attention to a model of expand contract from the center of the body. So in this sense, let's put it like this, one can push the ground with the toes so he activates the ileopsoas as a consequence, and the leg raises, or one can use directly the ileo psoas to raise the leg. In both cases one raises the leg, but in the first case it is coming from peripheral to center, and in the second, one activate the center to drag the leg. In the 1st case we have a springy motion, in the second we have a contraction of the center. At least this is my understanding. Do you agree?
@@WuzuquanSpain Hi, you are right I took it for granted. Why there is a problem, or why do I speak about a problem? two answers: 1) not everybody activates correctly the muscles of the trunk. And someone with the lack in the activations (and for which physiotherapists and specialists of different disciplines of the body, give exercises to restore the functionality of those zones) uses different muscles and postures to compensate the mentioned lack 2) exist proverbs which say that the energy starts from the feet, and it is only directed from the waist. This create confusion on where the process starts. This is also the reason why some martial schools (even tai chi ones) support the idea that the contact with the ground is not necessary in order to create and transmit energy, which doesn't propagate vertically from the ground up, For the movement, one can swing an arm without using the trunk, working in isolation. I am just listing these points, because I had also contact with ones who follow these procedures, and some of them apparently have good results.
Unfortunately, someone with zero experience in this area will not have a the slightest clue what they’re seeing. They will assume auto suggestion or some other nonsense in order to wrap the absurdly trivial rational mind around something completely beyond their comprehension.
This works but you must release all unnecessary action muscle. Your mind need to be in present moment., your heart and mind need to fill with the feeling of love which unlocks holding around chest. This takes a few years to get. With a sharing instuctor.
Muscular elongate in all directions when they are relaxed, allowing for greater looseness ,mobility, smoother flow and resonance, All of which enhances qi's development.
In order for this types of demo to work, the student must be tight. In the case the student tries to relax, the “master” can apply force to “wake up” the resistance of the student, and becoming tight/rigid. But the demo in the video, the student seems to be “too cooperative”?
Power of suggestions is very strong. Ukes response is a taught one. This type of training isn't the best way to teach someone how to be based balanced and to breathe properly. But these things should be understood.
These guys are all the same...always with the academic stuff about CHi and or showing things standing straight up in non-realistic static situations or through drills that dont have body mass involved. Perhaps show this on someone that boxes ? I would like to see it in real fighting and a realistic situation . So the question here is what is he trying to say? this is used for some reason in self defence ? if so lets see it for real..he seems like a nice man in spirit but this has nothing to do with martial arts he just seems like a nice man. Not picking on him per say but rather the hoky things he has been taught and now he is passing on giving people falsehoods on fighting skills. But not sure what this has to do with self defence...if so it would be nice to see these guys prove it in real action taking on a punch that has body mass that is going right through the defender..not just a light slow mime like arm movement stopping in front of the person at about 0.0 speed and power. The latter seems to be the platform on which most of the magical masters seem to teach their hoky theories. I wish this nonsense would stop in martial arts.
Shot! There are people believe one finger would move a person! I wish one day I could see some master show people to move a tree with his so called energy.
