I remember the day you started this channel and asked us to help out so you could get to 1,000 subscribers. Jake!! You’re over 1.2 MILLION subscribers now!! Congratulations!! 🎉 Shout out to Mandy Randy, Kevin and Brad! 😊
I own a tree service in Memphis tn areas . It’s a young business and im getting better and better at pricing jobs . You disclosing your pricing has helped a lot . Thanks man
I've never worked a tree service, but I have been self-employed before... Work to the price that keeps you in business. I didn't - that's why I I have a real job again now! Try to avoid the temptation to chase the work at any price; if you don't make a profit, you won't be in business still when they call next time... good luck, and may a fair wind full your sail, brother. 👍🇦🇺🪓🙂
You always have to factor in company profit otherwise you are just working for wages. Being a business owner isn't worth the headaches and expenses if you don't profit 20% to 25% for the company above what you expense, employee pay and your own wages.
Another magnificent video. The Team, well just incredible, superb, dramatic, informative and funny as heck. Randy, Randy, I just love ya! lol The drone shots were impressive and your views driving home WOW! I like how you explained the prizing on this job. Perfect. Stay safe guys. Peace.
The hang time on those first few chunks. Man! He was up there. A good reminder for anyone. If you are buying a house, check for questionable trees that may become your expensive responsibility.
The wildlife logs We used to put in the river for the USFS had to have a jagged top. The really big logs would be drilled and blasted, broken logs were ideal. It lets the bugs in I was told. Used that theory on standing stubs also,a couple minutes with the saw to get rid of the smooth cut. Make it look like a Burger King crown.
Been watching your channel for a while now. I think it’s awesome that you’re buying equipment and getting your own tree service running. I love to see someone succeed in the wood business.
Really appreciate you sharing prices, not only is it cool to see how prices compare with us on the east coast. But so many people have no idea what tree work cost!!! It’s expensive, dangerous, and a lot of liability. Thanks again Jake 😎
randy got his fix! he will be flying with out wings with all that Cinnabon. great job taking down that huge tree, I just wish there was more footage of the other tree coming down.
@@GuiltyofTreeson between Randy and Kevin you just have an amazing crew! they work well and safely together. it is so difficult when you are the one in charge of the group. a ton more pressure to do it right! but with your crew, they are always looking out for each other. and always keeping it safe, like they say to leave work the same way you came in! it is hard to see the indicator on the camera when it is on your helmet. love Kevin’s safety shield! that makes me smile!
I watch you and Veterans tree service. Love both channels, but I think both of you are crazy. No way you could get me that high in a tree. Be safe and God bless you and yours.
Jake I know you are at the top of your game, you have reached the point where you are one with the tree. You should ride that wave for many years to come. That said when you are on a spar with no overhead tie in, why not have your climb line around the tree as well? I know it’s a hassle, it slows ya down, who needs it ? Well about 38 years ago when braided rope stele core flip lines were replacing the old logger style, Manila three strand core flip lines I had one of the new types break at the cable crimp. Now designs are better materials are better everything is better but still, wife kids, life to live, maybe just maybe it’s worth the hassle. Ok I am old, 62, in fact and getting more cautious knowing I would not heal like a younger man. The 40 foot back flip I shook off decades ago would break me now. Anyway just love speaking.i
Neil, your videos are very interesting and informative. Don’t concern yourself with everyone’s opinions and/or their input. He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. John 8:7-11
I have got to admit. Your system is excellent. Not as good as BBR, no one is as good as Billy. But I’m super impressed with the zip line. Very COOL❤❤❤❤
I know this may seem like a bigger headache but what I did was keep my lanyard above where I cut. I made my cuts from my waist to my knee. Also gives a few limbs to grab if a greenhorn drags my climb line into a chipper
I worked with a guy who had a climber up 90ft in a fir tree. The guy was tied in with only a steel core flip line, the boss had turned away for a minute and then he heard something snap and or break and then seen the guy land on his head from 90ft. I know some people trust the steel core flip line but you cant see what shape the steel is in. Climb safe guys.
Communicating with the customer about the level of landscape damage is huge. Get expectations aligned properly! A lot of customers won’t be upset about damaged landscape as long as it properly communicated before hand. Nobody likes surprises.
That was a big 🌲 boy for sure! Great team ,work so well together and love the banter and joking between you guys! Makes for a great work day! Thanks for the video jake! 🪵 🪓 👋

Shout out Chris Williams for taking care of our boy 🧁💪🏼💪🏼
But was it *the* Chris Williams? 🤔
@@xECKSx58there is only ONE Chris “Cinnabon” Williams!

I love how you tell the price, I wish more people did this, a lot of home owner dont realize what all in involved with cutting and cleaing. Great job
Randy is a hoot. Great team! I loved the drone footages. Excellent editing.
I really like you talking about the pricing. Don't see other TH-camrs do that, but it's super interesting

Where is your 4 th guy
I also own a tree service and pricing jobs is the hardest part of running a business for me @anthonyandrews1125
You r unlikely to get his prices in Tennessee but perhaps
You always have to factor in company profit otherwise you are just working for wages. Being a business owner isn't worth the headaches and expenses if you don't profit 20% to 25% for the company above what you expense, employee pay and your own wages.
I like that you’re telling the prices to us ❤
His First year in business trying to keep the guys busy during the winter. This job was severely underbid
Doesen't look underbid to me. @@drakedezarzana1771
It's very interesting to hear the factors that influence pricing the job.
What a crew...great guys.
Estimate discussion was cool. I’d be interested in how you’re moving your lanyard, climb line and flip line a little more.
awesome job Jake with an awesome team. really great scenery

That was a real square deal you made. Lots of give and take
Using the jack to lift up the chippers feed wheel was one of the slickest little tricks ive ever seen

What a mindblowing scenery brother, this was a beast of a tree and I give you a big thumbs up for the smooth removal. Dream team!
Great job ! Y’all funny as hell too!
Your editing for these videos is amazing. Thank you for doing such a great job.
Loved the drone footage. And you all put a proper shift in getting that job done in a day.
Oh Jake you man handle those branches so effortlessly. I aspire to that level of skill. Great video. Speedy recovery Randy
Dead fir is a great scenario to leave the rounds and chip onsite. Get some great firewood and those chips are great mulch

That’s a gorgeous neck of the woods. Great drone views

I appreciate the casual meteorology lesson from the tree top 😂
I price in Oregon, nice to hear how someone else does it near by! Climb high stay safe!
Kevin is that “guy” from east side😂. I laughed so hard when he dulled your saw.
It amazes me how you can climb those giants without a shred of fear. Never scared but always aware of the danger. Epic.
so cool. love the explanation at the beginning.
Great footage of action packed sky n ground crew and the concert between everyone
The Cinnabon gift card is hilarious. Cinnabon should sponsor a video lol

CLimbed Mt Rainer back in '93. Beautiful Country.
Praise God! Nice view, I am in California right at the end of the Cascades and were the Sierras begin. I get to see Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen everyday
must be cold for Randy not to have his workin stocks on
Pretty funny that the auto generated captions translate chipper and chainsaw noise by like "music" and "applause".

0:13 do you realize those are the stumps of 3 ancient trees in the distance that were cut down long ago during a time that is hidden from us.
