another safety first job from Jake & his crew of the day - Kevin, Randy & Sondre. that really was a dangerous combo of trees. the loss of Jed is still fresh - greatly missed by all that knew him

ALWAYS so cool to do takedowns with another cat on a tandem climb. The banter's usually easy, and it gets even better knowing you trust him with your life. (Talk about having something in common with someone else while working a good challenge, and EVERYTHING goes right on a special gig.)
100% agree about removing all the smaller pieces first. It’s easy to think “what difference is that little bit going to make?”, but sometimes snagging on something quite small can send your top down in a way you weren’t expecting. Plus it’s easier to move ropes and see what’s there and move around. It sounds like a small detail but it can make a big difference. Well done Jake and team, good day.

Jake, you took out the Gimli tree! From "The Two Towers" where Gimli was supporting a dead Warg, an Uruk-Hai, and another Warg that had fallen on him. Well done!

Great work taking down some extremely tricky trees Jake, Kevin, and Randy, nice filming Sandre, liking the swish spurs tatt Randy. Cheers for the reel Jake.
Nice job guys! I had a huge widow-maker snag from a large cottonwood which snapped off about 40+feet up. I decided it wasn't worth my health to attack it. Luckily the contract crew's bucket truck reached it from my driveway. Once on the ground you could see the cottonwood was rotted into a cannon-barrel.
Hi Jacob been missing videos of you and Randy working , me and Linda in the UK just wondering why so few , you two are great together and we enjoy your banter, glad to see you both ok.

@@el5495 From what I heard Jake say and what I read about Jed, he was doing a dangerous storm cleanup job and a tree leaning into another. He has falling it and just started his back cut when a large piece of branch that no one saw shot strait down from the vibrations and killed him instantly. Very sad situation and scary AF because he was very smart. In this vid Jake was showing how easily something that looks secure can just launch down like a missle.
You men definitely have my respect! Having spent time cutting trees in live HV power lines in 80 foot.cherry pickers.😀 And yes, clear every thing out before you drop the big stuff. Most of what I cut was Gum trees(Eucalyptus) which doesn't have much straight timber. I was a HV linesman in Australia. Now retired.
Wow, that was a crazy job! There were multiple points in this job that would tripped my "oh hell no... not doing that" trigger. Salute to you you guys with your skill and bravery!
After watching this, I would officially like to welcome Jake into the Steel Balls club!!! I used to love tree climbing and all working at heights stuff, but that tree was something else!! Talk about an adrenaline rush that will probably start to wear off in qbout 3 DAYS!! Good job staying safe guy's 😊👍👍👍👍👍👍

Holy cow, Jake! Glad you and your crew did the job safely with no injuries. You guys are real pros!
You can tell he’s a real pro when he says it’s “extremely dangerous” but doing it safely with a bucket truck is “just not worth it”.
Seems like a good job for heavy equipment like an excavator.
In this case I would seriously consider hiring an explosives expert, explosive cutting works on wood too and can be done from a safe distance.
