    I’ve been watching for 6 months or so, I watch a few farming videos and yours I think are the most informative and professional of any I didn’t read the criticism last week but I always go on the basis that you know your own ground best and also what works for you and your system. We’re over at Banbury on a small grass farm, subsidised by property letting.

      Thanks Jim for your kind comments. Up here, property to rent goes in a flash, we don’t have any though.

    Good one again young man! The Simba is the better tool. We had one back in 2002, brilliant machine. Have a Carrier now and it’s just not the same.

      Thanks Andy, interesting! There seems more adjustment with the Express and do leaves the field leveller.

    Nice video again, as I mentioned before our 7r gps receiver is built into the cab roof on the exhaust side so there is nothing protruding above the cab to hook up on low trees or to get stolen we also had 900 tyres put on it to improve the traction, 2 more days and the rape should all be planted, keep up the interesting videos👍😊

    That's a good idea been able to adjust the angles, different soils different depths of work would all require different disc angles, I remember the old discs would always leave a ridge when working on ploughed land

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard

      It’s a good machine and doesn’t take too much pulling and at between 5-7 litres/ hectare of fuel, is not that costly for the yield benefit it'll bring.

    Hi Andrew, we have a 6m Horsch Joker RT classic which has been a very reliable and still
    has most of the original packer roller bearing on and disc bearing which are all sealed,we’ve done
    Well over 20,000 acres with it.
    I see the new Joker RT has a double packer roller which you can have in a similar DD style which I think would
    leave a nice level finish

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      20,000 ac, that’s incredible. I’m trying to get one on demo but not getting on very well. The double packer would be better I think.

  • @laytonphillips6667

    Great update Andrew, carrier doing a great job, bit un level in the middle behind the tractor, x press doing a great job as usual, do you not have a dedicated wash pad ? Any rape seed in? Olly could do with that carrier on some of his land!!

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wash pad is in front of store 3 which is always full of ADM’s rape so once it’s full we only use the shed to empty it, usually April/May. No rape drilled, will do next year. needed a 4 yr break from it.

  • @stephenross1581

    Great informative video Andrew, many thanks for the time and effort you put in!
    As for your trolls, ignore them. The arguments on fforum re direct drilling have been going on for years and no one has come up with a definitive answer or drill, as if there was ever going to be one. Plough your own furrow, as the saying goes. 👍
