    Have you looked into Titan Goodyear LSW 1400 tires instead of dual rear and perhaps LSW 1000 front tires? I'm not sure if they're available in the UK but they're supposed to be as productive as tracks (and cheaper when you consider maintenance costs), don't sink in the soil, and give the tractor a smoother ride. I've seen a lot of farmers here in the US convert their tractors to them. You can search TH-cam for videos of them. BTW, love the videos. Great work.

    The other difference between the cultipresses is the levelling tine arrangement the old style absorbed a lot more horsepower and bunged more easily.

    Goid one andrew, we farm about 15 miles from john prices farm, looking at google mwps he has not destroyed 1 km of river bank, i measured it yo be around 300 meters, the feild to the side is just over 5 acres!! Thr trees cut diwn were alder, which unless copised will aventualy fall into thr river, we rent some arable land that had started to flood, 3 years ago it didnt, the river in the adjoining feild which isnt ours is filling with gravel and fallen trees, so if there is 2days of decent rainfall the river enters our feilds, its fairly fast running so 10 acres now cant be croped or properly grazed, heres a sum andrew, 10 acres milling wheat, 3 tons per acre= 30 tons of milling wheat,= 51000 loaves of bread, avrage person eats 60 loaves per year, so 10 acres of milling wheat would keep 850 people in their daily bread for a year, been trying to get the E A out to see if we can do something for 3 years,

    • @jimwadland7728

    @6.45 Why do such a tight turn, skip one row, that's what AutoTrac is for.

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  ปีที่แล้ว

      We can’t do that when drilling because we put 1 tramline in one breed, the other the next breed and you’d end up with single trams all over the field. Tom is using auto turn.

    • @davidcurry4433
      @davidcurry4433 ปีที่แล้ว

      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard Speak to JD I'm sure they'll advise you on how to skip rows successfully without leaving gaps.
      Great Videos by the way..

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Trouble when you skip rows you end up running on the ends twice, it can’t be avoided. That’s ok when it’s dry but I don’t like doing it on wet clay soils. We’ll even not roll the headlands some years as rolls pack them down tight.
