Really great shots. In regards to splash photography, splashes generally signify something refreshing, so its not really appropriate for things like coffee or dark beer such as a porter or stout.
Thanks so much! I feel like splash photography is very stylistic and artistic. It all depends on how your shoot things! It definitely is used to portray a refreshing vibe, but it can also be used to portray chaos, action and emotion. With my work I love to apply this technique to any and every kind of liquid that crosses my path as long as it matches the brand’s identity and there are so many different ways to approach splash photography you can convey more than one meaning or feeling! I don’t think it should be subjective to one emotion.
I design customized aprons, I have mannequins for adult and child. I got a tip here to placement of my lights. Thanks. My products are very brightly colored, please suggest what background is best to use
Glad it could be some help! Paper backdrops are definitely the easiest route but can get pricey, but will last forever if taken care of! Currently I am shooting on a black fabric backdrop until I upgrade my studio, but it works great with some touch ups in post!
I’ll usually ask what the photos will be used for and will send sizes accordingly! Typically a full res, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, and 9:16. Then I’ll compress a few for web use just incase.

I get a lot of request within the craft beer and food industry since I’ve made it kind of my specialty that I like to shoot and have become pretty well versed in. I think you can still do portrait photography, but maybe find a brand needs content for social and use your skills and expertise to help build their brand!

When you send this to the client, do you export the original size hi res and we size or just hi res? Thank you- you’re so talented and love your work.
