scrolled down and my jaw dropped that you only have 1.4k. absolute hidden gem mate. Nice work
This was your first time?! Duuuude! Awesome. This was great! One of the best breakdowns I've watched in years. #SUBSCRIBED
Thank you! More soon!
I was so confused when I saw you had only 300 subs! This channel deserves at least 100k great stuff dude!
Wow, thanks! I appreciate it! Just getting started!! What else would you like to see?
Maybe a video on garnishes/details/props
Things like adding a little clump of lavender or using a spray bottle on a soda can or like the plate and the towel in this video.
The details are just so important but so easily overlooked. So maybe some video of explaining good techniques on that?
Amazing video by the way, you really gotta make more!
Lovely laid back tutorial which I very much appreciate.
thank you!
Great work dude! Love your style of teaching and shooting. Keep it up please! It was very concise and informative!
nice to shout out to prop stylists!
of course!
Beautifully lit with such a simple set up!
Glad you like it!
Great tutorial! Really helpful to see how to float those donuts. And yeah i had sprinkles everywhere last week. Cookie shoot. Yes i ate some!
Another awesome video, man. Strictly speaking for myself, I'd love a video about the "boring" stuff haha. Maybe one or two shorter videos on set props, building sets, and things like that? Such as the tile stickers... Always was curious on how you can (somewhat) easily build cool sets in a small studio set-up. Loving the content, though!
Thanks! Boring is my middle name! More where that came from 😂
Would love to watch your edit process
Thanks so much for recording your process! Very entertaining and informative. Will be trying a similar thing with my new knife and some different foods 😁 don't have all those lovely clamps you do but hopefully I'll sus it out!
😘😘
Amazing video dude. Super clear all and really inspiring. Cheers
It's never too late Tom ... after 3 years of uploading, but what to do if my home page shows this fantastic video now? Simply amazing! I also like your one more bite!!! I am subscribing now ... lots of learning! Thanx! ❤
Greetings from Karachi, Pakistan!!

As 'Savage Creates' below here says "Was this your first time?!" ...it was amazing mate. Definitely subscribing because you are just going to get better and better. Cheers
So many great tips on lighting and composition!
Thanks Wes!
So much fun! I’m gonna need to get some of that defusing material.
It’s the best!
Absolutely brilliant stuff here! Subscribed and looking forward to more from you in the future 👍

So good! Thanks Tom! 🙌🏼🍻
Tom this video is great!
Great video. What camera and lens are you using to shoot the photos?
What an amazing tutorial! I’m hoping to see some more eventually.. I turned the notification button on 🤞
Great vid! Looking forward to seeing more content!
Appreciate it! I hope to make more soon!
Fantastic tutorial, thank you!
how does this dude only have 711 subscribers?
thank you Alex!! I need to make more videos 🥵
awesome video! Thank you for this! I wish clients could have just a little bit of idea how long time this kind of shot takes! This from setting up to final edit is min 3-4 hours of work!
It was amazing! Thank you heaps!
Hello, Thank you for sowing this tutorial, it was really good and I love the shot.
Do you have any shoe photography tips for gear.
thank you.
Great video! Thanks for sharing 🤗
Thanks for watching!
Yeah! Another Tom video!
The pocket knife is sick!
haha thanks!
Great thankyou
The stop motion effect on the live feed... dang, what a happy accident.
great work bro
Thanks 🔥
Would like to have seen more about the gear setup and what you were using and why than less about the hero donut! Otherwise cool stuff.
I thought I showed enough about the gear, haha my bad! donuts are more interesting in most cases!
Imagine someone breaks into his house and find him in a room with a donut knife XD
Hi Tom !
First of all GREAT VIDEO Dude 👌🏼
It helped me a lot and I have one question how did you fix the knife? 😁
How does it connect to the magic arm?
Just saw the two videos about that topic and subscribed YOU SHOLD HAVE 100k 🤙🏼
loved it!!!
Great stuff, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Great video, thank you
Awesome content here! 📸
I love it!
I realize this was an old video, but what lens was this done with?
Boom! The Zoom!
loved it
Thank you!
that's not a strawberry- it's a donut- hahahaha!
Great stuff!
Thanks!
This was a great BTS video. Got me thinking, how much of a shoot for the client is pre-planned? As in there seems to be a fair amount of trial and error here, do you do test shoots before shoot day with a client or is it expected there will be trial and error on the day?
Usually a shoot with a client is all pre planned and can be up to 10-20 shots per day depending on if we are running 1 or 2 sets. It can get crazy 😅 Thanks for watching! More on the way and I’ll definitely be talking about the pre production stuff etc!
@@tommedvedich thanks, yeah definitely keen to see more around prep and planning. Not enough actual professionals on TH-cam showing the real ins and outs of professional photography business. Cheers keen for the next instalment.
Really good video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
whould you plese tell what's your camera stand model?
what is that arm you’re using to hold the knife up? can’t find anything to hold knives up well like that. (i shoot a lot of knives/flashlights for work)
subscribed now i want more.
I'd love to learn how to shoot floating garments since I'm working with a retailer as their photographer but I think i need to improve more on my shots, could you make one tutorial🥺
Floating garments are TOUGH. That’s more of the prop stylist dept than a photographer dept (thankfully for me)
Very, very cool. Thank you for sharing. I do have a question: How'd you do the spins of the knife at the beginning?
Fishing line 🙌🏻
@@tommedvedich amazing 😍 thanks for sharing!
Awesome video
Which lights you used for this shoot seems like high sync light
These were just Einsteins from Paul Buff, I didn't use HSS though
Too bad you didnt show how the knif is attachted to the clam, cus i struggle with attatching stuff!
Amazing video.. but not so budget friendly for amateur photographers like myself :(
nice!!
Thank you!
How bout a link to the mini grip boom arm deals from ebay.
just gotta search for them!
Can you link the 250 diffusion? I'm latterly trying to buy one now lol
www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/90644-REG/Rosco_102302504825_E_Colour_250_1_2_White.html?sts=pi&pim=Y
amazing
What software do you use for live view etc.
that's capture one
can someone tell me what the brand name of "stick holder" for the object ?
The desktop app is only available on MAC?
PC as well I believe
where can I find mini stands and clamps like this?!
Same question!
Matthews mini grip kit - ebay is your best bet or you can pay full price at B&H!
How do i find that gear to hold objects?
Looks like a New Channel but the guy is not.
Nice Tutorial, keep creating.
haha thank you!
broooo. don't eat that in front of me while im soo hungry for lunch :( hahahaha
😅
You need to make more videos
As soon as time allows!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@tommedvedich Looking forward to it
What’s the grib tools ind the setup called?
which ones specifically?
@@tommedvedich nevermind😅 watchOS the video over again and found out, my brain was apparently asleep when you told it👀
I found Canon 24-70mm f2.8 II, to be very bad for product photography. Not sharp enough close up. A tremendous difference with a cheap Canon 100mm f2.8.
Like for eating the donut ❤️
I still haven't figured out what software he's using.
capture one
yeah it's capture one 🙏🏻
Chopstick vs fork
Sadly not possible to replicate without studio and lighting equipment.
Some things, like freezing motion, do require very bright situations. But yes, this video is about how to shoot floating product photography with lighting equipment.
moarrrrr plzz
thanks!
Please translate the video into Arabic🙂❤️
Would you be willing to sell that knife?
gave it to a friend!
Why would you immediately start the video by literally chewing into the mic? Its at least 10x Worse then nails on a chalkboard for me, I’m not even sure how it’s possible but iv met tons of people like me that as soon as started chewing in mic I turned off and won’t ever watch another video by your channel, not like trying to be an asshole just maybe something to consider can just turn off mic while chewing.
