Haven't even watched yet, and I'm already excited. I feel like I'm being spoiled with the amount of uploads recently. Thank you for gifting us these videos. They truly are inspiring, and enjoyable to watch. I love how you are filling the city with such life. I honestly didn't know it was even possible to go this indepth without huge game changing mods.
In love with this Egg!! I do think that you could still split off the train line at 20:35 and add a station at your planned new town suburbia (it could even connect with a new metro stop on your loop line when you add it in the future - at 24:25). Then you’ll have a train line on this side of the river with lots of potential for expansion!
@@thesiber.stanmapper852 speaking of! I shared some IRL city inspo of Wellington, New Zealand in the Discord, where they have cable cars (could replace with monorail or trams maybe?) leading up to some of the housing situated up some of the steep hill sections in the city. Could apply for some of the suburbs he may add around the mountain region?
I think you should add the quay. Because, logically a lot of money definitely went into building that huge area, I believe the government would want some sort of safety barrier on the bank, as this is also a place where kids would visit with their parents, so quaying is definitely a good shout.
Am getting so inspired to play! The way you piece assets together has taught me a lot, particularly how to make the more industrial aspects look good outside assigned industry areas. Pro-vanilla tip: When you're in a centralize situation such as with the mall (17:25), if you put down a road perpendicular to your central road - to create a grid - where the mall is, and then use a common walking path, you can start it at a road guideline with the central road, then turn those off and simply move one grid-tile at the time. Delete the guide roads, then use the grid off the small path - on the end - to place down a centralized road. It will be exactly half a grid square off, instead of eyeballing it for the more nit-picky of us. :)
I get so much enjoyment seeing you distracted by the wildlife 😂 Looked like that poor deer was about to get National Geographic’d by that cougar! Fabulous build as always, Egg!
if the pedestrian roads came covered with canopies, they would look so good for the mall setting! It would almost look like a theme park. Loving your videos egg! I'll always be watching your next video!!
I love this build so much! The little industrial service point was such a good idea! I think next episode you should go through and add some of the new suburban fence. Can't wait to see what you do next!
This is giving me wonderful inspiration for a retail park build. Top-tier stuff as always. Absolutely love the use of the shopping mall commercial buildings - such a great vibe! Whoever makes the CS2 vanilla commercial buildings could learn a lot from this.
I love the new content creator stuff. Really adds life to suburbs and cities. One thing I like to do is set industrial districts to the shopping mall buildings and line up a commercial buffer using those assets. The blocks of same looking assets make for a nice office-looking transition between residential and industrial zones in the early game.
I love you you deal with roads. So many CS creators put their road frames in and then crowbar buildings into those frames but you don't have a care in the world about reworking the roads if they need it. The final result is so much more realistic the way you do it. Loving this series btw!
I think one of the simpler but sleek quays around that main curve of the mall waterfront then downgrade to a nice prop line rock wall “quay” for a little bit then back to a natural riverbank would fit. Maybe even bring the ground out and around the edges of the quay to make it look like its is embedded into the bank/landscape rather than sticking out like it usually does. A little like you’ve done across the river by the fishing port and Swank at 26:25 (My favourite named district btw - *SWANK* lol)
I feel like just about every episode I think “*this* is my favourite episode”… then the next comes along and it’s like “wait no, this is my favourite now” … but *THIS* is my favourite now. Orchid bay is most definitely my favourite of all your builds. Just the simplest of things - like flipping a building around makes a world of difference. I’m hoping I can steadily work towards getting all these amazing DLCs and CC packs. The work that you put into your builds really highlights your pillar in the CS community. I can’t express how much your video brighten my mood. Thank you to all the lovely creators (from CC packs to workshop assets and builds/cities) for your beautiful work. And much love to the amazing community you, yourself are building OE ❤
I do enjoy watching you put together assets, your knowledge of each one is awesome! I reckon a couple of HD green cities flats would look good there as well, add a little but of resi but at the dame time, give an exclamation point to the area, so it doesn't fade into the background once things are built up around it. Just a thought :)
Wow wow wow! This mall complex is soo good! Orientation King still wows us with every episode! The view from the path over the river into the complex has to be my favourite! Love the idea of the mountain road leading to the other side so looking forward to that!
Great build Egg! Love the way it turned out. It's absolutely wild to think that this type of build could only have been done in a modded series previously. The vanilla game has come so far!
What an awesome build as always! Using the mall of moderation as the opening to this big open mall area is brilliant. The new vanilla parking lots bring the entire build together! I have to say I've been playing modded as of late with all kinds of assets, but watching you masterfully build with vanilla is amazing OE. It makes me want to go back. Keep it up bro 🤙
Great build! The little piece of road from the roundabout to the mall of moderation seems like a perfect place to put one of the arches across the road from the unique buildings
I was always confused to see overcharged egg channel have so few subscribers. I always thought that the ratio between subscriber count and content quality was a bit off. But it's getting better. Would love to see the channel hit the big league milestones. Top content as always.
Egg. Hoping you read this, if you were to delete the road placed at 10:50, directly next to the pedestrian cargo hub, you could move the bus station back a few squares and get some crazy vanilla fusing
Great stuff again. One way to separate the garbage trucks from the visitors would be to put the entry point for the recycling centre on the far side of the mall of moderation.
New assets were made for you OE! It's so fun watching how you've been using them. I've been just opening and closing my city, not knowing what and where I want to do stuff. Love the music as usual! You have a great taste!
This build has been blowing my mind nonstop. OE is truly the Bob Ross of CS. Does anyone know what camera mod he uses? A list of all of the mods he uses would be great.
It really is amazing how much this game has improved with the past few extensions, this looks like a proper american shopping mall. Also picked up some new tricks, that idea to centralize the mall was quite nice. Now if only the car parks would fill up a bit more, but I guess we can hope this gets improved for CS2.
A high-end to low-end residential tier system would work nicely to the left side of this build by the train tracks working their way up towards the mountain. And by the river can be a commercial build working its way along down towards the bridge. Maybe mix in a larger high school, middle, and elementary together towards the top ish of the mountain. That and or a college of some kind if there’s a wildlife and or wilderness or agricultural asset. I feel like a tiered system would look incredible there.
Those carparks!!! Flexing those King Leno and carpark assets to make a brilliant build (as always). Thanks OE. Looking forward to seeing the suburb grow around it.
Great Build! Vanilla has come so far, indeed. I agreem and think for low desnisty like this, without buildings close to the shore, keep it natural and no Quay. Grade out the bank to make it nice and shallow gradient. Have a gravel path going nice and close to the water, with some benches and city park assets like pier? Then it would seem landscaped and 'artificial' without the instensly urban vibes of a quay. Tasteful long grasses and boom, walkable suburban green space and river bank. Edit: Definately saw you spending a lot of time in the timelapse 'detailing' by going around, admiring the detailing and fawning over the symmetry. I''d do the same!
In the middle of following along in this episode (I had to get a new system so my diasasters were on) a huge sunami hit! I lost so much, even back to the two churches area! It took over 6 hours to get everything back on track! And I turned off disasters!
I feel like there should've been another connection on the fisheries side of the mall connecting the cargo station on the other side to a service area of the mall.. this would've divided the truck traffic from the local traffic on the other side.. just a thought.. great as always!
Cable cars to cross the rivers would be nice! Low capacity, but short trips, I think it an underrated mean of transport, Orchid Bay should make justice to them
Egg. Lovely build, this city is a cut above. Could you widen the river between the fisheries and opposite (mall) side. The farming nets seem a bit too close to the shore, hinders on the realism a bit, also it’s going to get in the way of you’re planning to use those mega wide retaining walls.
Work has been leaving me in a rather exasperated mood of late, and getting to chill to your awesome vids is the perfect antidote. Instantly puts me in a good mood. These assets are crazy good! Vanilla ain't so vanilla anymore.
Nice mall, now we need some Vanilla billboards and highways sign to complete Cities Skylines 1. Also something you could consider in a tile expansion that's not down town bur around the mall side of the map would be a combo Zoo and themepark. I kinda wish they added a few more assets to all the parks. Like some more flat rides, game and food stall, more Animals exhibits, animals show area and 2 more coasters, classic woodie and Kid dragon/Wacky Wurm.
Smart bus lane use - loved that. And the bridge across - what a great add. All the Swank residents are gonna love it. Enjoyed the bollard add too. Your detailing is really great. As for the quay, I'm thinking for insurance purposes, the mall might have one if there is one with a fence? I don't recall. just the premises liability would be a nightmare with all that hazard potential (can you tell I work legal?)
You know I love this series. But you started on my favorite Map which i wanted to play for my new city. I just couldn't find a start without overthinking it - having your beautiful stuff as comparison. But I managed yesterday and i AM going to find my own approach. :D
I know I'm really late haha... but I suggest changing the bridge that crosses the river to the CC wooden pathway, that would be very nice. Loving this series though, been adapting your choice asset style to my builds and has made a huge difference
What an epic vanilla build!! Really makes me want to start a vanilla city (or at least a less modded one than I am use to 🥴). And...the store "Under OurArm" is reason enough to get this CCP! I may have laughed a bit too much at that!! 😂
Instead of guessing where the grid needs to be to centralise buildings you can also draw a little pathway (within the grid) and then use its guideline to find the exact middle of the grid square.
Hey Egg, I guess something different you could do just for the sake of using most of the vanilla assets would be changing the pedestrian pathways across rivers and canals to the pedestrian bridge options (American and European) which came with the Bridges & Piers DLC. They are even a bit larger in size and will offer a different visual touch :)
Watching this made me want to go to the mall. Have you ever seen the University of Tampa? It sits on the river in downtown Tampa. There is a river walk across from it, bridges near by, and a lot of live oaks and palms.
Cant remember if you've used the city arch entrance unique, but feel that would make a nice addition to the entrance to the mall? Also I like the idea of the nearby town having some dilapidated commercial that was put out of business by the mall!
Love it - I didn't think the Malls would work but once paired up with all the parking etc they look pretty cool.. One thing though... which is the new mod for Prop Line Tool? Couldn't find it in workshop..
What a build, maybe do a more shabby suburb to accompany it though we haven’t really got one yet expect for Karen. I feel like lots of the land would be bought for the mall leaving the suburb half and half. I know an area near me like this. Also maybe an office area as well? Only a suggestion. Maybe it’ll be KFC vs FishFC 😝 well down on 70k!!!!
OE and his relationship with his built areas is like my ex-girlfriend's with men - a new one three times a week and he's always her favorite... 😅😅 Well done mate, this huge mall looks really great... ❤
Love the series and Love playing Cities skylines, I only wish I could afford a PC which can do it justice, I get to a small sized city and have to stop as my GPU cannot handle it, one day! Until then I live vicariously through your builds!
Hey Egg, I didn’t notice you do it in the video, so not sure you caught that their are a couple of the growable shopping assets have a couple different variants that changes their structural look. I'm thinking of doing a modern US Main Street with them.

Then you’ll have a train line on this side of the river with lots of potential for expansion!
Potential to make a scenic train line that partially follows the national road over the hill in future too - oooof it’s all so good though
Bonus points if you YIMBY said Rail connection to upzone some suburbia later, could be interesting!
@@thesiber.stanmapper852 speaking of! The way that you craft such natural and beautiful looking sky/sight lines is beyond me. Incredible work. That city view behind the mall is so innate.
Thank you so much 😀
This is even better than I thought it’d be. Seeing all those people walking around never gets tiring
This city is turning out to be a masterpiece. Great Job on this, I've been watching since ep. 1.
Bro yes, I bet that underground mall from the P&P DLC will look good blended with the open air mall, this build is definitely giving me ideas
Am getting so inspired to play! The way you piece assets together has taught me a lot, particularly how to make the more industrial aspects look good outside assigned industry areas.

Wow!!! Luna Malla is fabulous, thank you so much Egg ☺ I feel very privileged.

17:30 Thanks for the simple Grid Movement trick.
Wow wow wow! This mall complex is soo good! Orientation King still wows us with every episode! The view from the path over the river into the complex has to be my favourite! Love the idea of the mountain road leading to the other side so looking forward to that!
The only thing that makes Mondays seem ok. Great video again. Up the Egg.
Congratulations on 70k been here since 60k
This turned out SO amazing!! Can’t even believe this is vanilla!
Back-to-back episodes, hell yeah! Thank you Egg and I love it.
Great build Egg! Love the way it turned out. It's absolutely wild to think that this type of build could only have been done in a modded series previously. The vanilla game has come so far!
Absolutely fantastic build, vanilla has come so far indeed! Great job mate 🙂

This serie is just amazing, i think i would love an episode of modifiing the old stuff of the city, improving the old parts of it
Great build! The little piece of road from the roundabout to the mall of moderation seems like a perfect place to put one of the arches across the road from the unique buildings
Love a good commercial build with walkability. Great use of the new content Egg.
I was always confused to see overcharged egg channel have so few subscribers. I always thought that the ratio between subscriber count and content quality was a bit off. But it's getting better. Would love to see the channel hit the big league milestones. Top content as always.
Another great episode! The city is coming along very nicely! The addition of public transportation was well needed for vanilla traffic solutions!!!!
Egg. Hoping you read this, if you were to delete the road placed at 10:50, directly next to the pedestrian cargo hub, you could move the bus station back a few squares and get some crazy vanilla fusing

EGG's new blend of super spice: paring up these new assets, with new and old alike, to create something bigger and better. And all in vanilla! Extra
This build has been blowing my mind nonstop. OE is truly the Bob Ross of CS. Does anyone know what camera mod he uses? A list of all of the mods he uses would be great.
You could use the train line for some inner city trains as tram line is awfully slow.
It really is amazing how much this game has improved with the past few extensions, this looks like a proper american shopping mall. Also picked up some new tricks, that idea to centralize the mall was quite nice. Now if only the car parks would fill up a bit more, but I guess we can hope this gets improved for CS2.

It turns out very nice. Even the cougar and deer attend the grand opening of the mall. XD

Awesome stuff. one of my favourite new dlc/pack vids by anyone so far. Thanks for another great watch 😊

I really like the low and high density retail that came with the shopping centers
Congrats on the 70k subs! saying it's well deserved is even an understatement, great build as always!
Great episode, just had a thought perhaps adding the Arch Infront of the Mall would make for a grand entrance...
Lovely episode again !!!! So aesthetic and realistic
i hate how inspired to play i feel after each of your videos cause i know i could never achieve such greatness lmaoooo keep it up legend
God that looks good. What a time to be alive ❤😂
I really like your build. I wish I'd be that creative.
Great mall egg!! Great way to start my Monday!! 🎉
You know I love this series. But you started on my favorite Map which i wanted to play for my new city. I just couldn't find a start without overthinking it - having your beautiful stuff as comparison. But I managed yesterday and i AM going to find my own approach. :D
2:00 I think that's the first pre-made roundabout I have ever seen in this city. 😂
I know I'm really late haha... but I suggest changing the bridge that crosses the river to the CC wooden pathway, that would be very nice.
Loving this series though, been adapting your choice asset style to my builds and has made a huge difference
Pokémon fans must not miss this episode - gotta catch the mall!
What an epic vanilla build!!
Really makes me want to start a vanilla city (or at least a less modded one than I am use to 🥴).
And...the store "Under OurArm" is reason enough to get this CCP! I may have laughed a bit too much at that!! 😂
You are a content machine, Egg. Fantastic build!
Thank you kindly!
Wish there was a link for the current series playlist in the description too! Love your work Egg
Here you go bro! th-cam.com/play/PLW9ZbMsZn0d6IuTPZkTaFdkykz2XXN26C.html
Thank you :)
Thank you for another amazing build!
I vote you stop calling it the build guide and call it officially a true vanilla build! Good work tho sir egg!
Looks freakin great dude
Instead of guessing where the grid needs to be to centralise buildings you can also draw a little pathway (within the grid) and then use its guideline to find the exact middle of the grid square.
Very good tip!

Congrats on 70k 🎉❤
Reminds me of The Waterfront outside Pittsburgh; but yours looks nicer.
Nice build
This pack looks very good, I'll buy it as soon as parking lot issue on console is resolved
Watching this made me want to go to the mall. Have you ever seen the University of Tampa? It sits on the river in downtown Tampa. There is a river walk across from it, bridges near by, and a lot of live oaks and palms.
Love it bro ❤
Cant remember if you've used the city arch entrance unique, but feel that would make a nice addition to the entrance to the mall? Also I like the idea of the nearby town having some dilapidated commercial that was put out of business by the mall!
Congrats on 70k subscribers!
Thank you so much 😀
Love it - I didn't think the Malls would work but once paired up with all the parking etc they look pretty cool.. One thing though... which is the new mod for Prop Line Tool? Couldn't find it in workshop..
its under Prop Anarchy, thanks bro!
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG cheers Egg!
I’d change the pedestrian roads with grass right outside shops.
Thank you!
So many videos. I feel we are being spoilt! Thanks Egg!!! 🎉🎉
You are so welcome!
OE and his relationship with his built areas is like my ex-girlfriend's with men - a new one three times a week and he's always her favorite...
😅😅
Well done mate, this huge mall looks really great...
❤
Gotta say, you need somewhere for the kiddies to go and play while the adults go shopping! Get a little play park in the green belt!
Thats a good shout, incoming playground
This is best city I’ve seen on vanilla
The way the 4 lane road turns into a 2 lane highway is stressing me out XD
Howdie OE from Allenstown, NH.
this is a good one
Love the series and Love playing Cities skylines, I only wish I could afford a PC which can do it justice, I get to a small sized city and have to stop as my GPU cannot handle it, one day! Until then I live vicariously through your builds!
Love the build as always. You don’t have any visual mods right?
you should split the train line off and make it go thru the mountains and stuff to that other side .
I think it looks a little strange to have the pedestrian roads with grass. The grass creates a kind of weird barrier between the shops and the street
Hey Egg, I didn’t notice you do it in the video, so not sure you caught that their are a couple of the growable shopping assets have a couple different variants that changes their structural look. I'm thinking of doing a modern US Main Street with them.
Overcharged eggs my favorite's cities skyline
Your really good at making things look realistic i find that quite hard to do is there any tips to make your cities more realistic?
