I visited Cavan in 2013 from Australia. We kayaked to this castle. I had seen it once in a photo and was determined to go there . Had some lunch in the castle. Loved it. Very special place to go. Was hard kayaking back though in the head wind. Cavan has some lovely places that not many tourists see. Next time I am going to try fishing for pike
