You clearly don't know how the TH-cam monetization works. If he made his videos 10 mins+ he can insert advertisements anywhere on the video and make way more money. If the video is under 10 mins, you only make like 60% of what you can make off of a 10m+ video.
Also he doesn't choose what ads go on his video lol.
The only thing he does have other than the regular TH-cam ads is a referral link in the description.
Sponsorships don't add advertisements to the video.
