    Couldn't watch. Music was way too loud. Unfortunately I am Bohemian and would like to have heard this.

    I will recommend also watching documentaries on Boii tribe. Celts and Slavs in Bohemia are really integrated more that you would think and the culture is lot older as well. True Bohemia came fro Boii tribe but there is lot more to it. It is really interesting. Great Video and sound could be little improved. Thanks God I got good amplifier. By the way I am Czech. Nardar Cesi. Born in Prague

      I had great-grandparents born in Bohemia. Originally Ancestory.com DNA test showed my Bohemian roots at about 16%, sounded reasonable. Now Ancestory shows instead German/French roots which I have found no record of.

    Nice work, guys!:) Just a couple of bugs: you have attributed the golden bull of Sicily to Charles IV. whereas in fact, it was issued in 1212 by Frederick II. Also, the 30 year war had only begun in 1618, so our defeat on Bila Hora wasn't due our weakened economy. In 1938, the WW2 couldn't have been in full swing, as it started only in Sept. 39. And Dubcek became the leader of communist party only in 1968, and he was actually the good guy. But thanks for being interested in my country:) Cheers!

    @coolmojito That is not an argument. People are lazy, so they still use the terminology from the Cold War. But Czechia has always belonged more to the West than the East. Economically, is somewhere in the middle, but more like Austria than Ukraine. And geografically, it's hilarious to say Vienna is in the west, but Prague in the east!

  • @coolmojito
    @coolmojito 14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @Zik2 yes, but most people talk about "western europe" (france, germany, england, italy and spain) and "eastern europe" everything beyond austria

    Ok...dont even listen to this...its all wrong...first of all...that girl wasnt Czech, Czech-English doesnt have that kind of strong rough accent. Second of all, surrendering ones country to occupation force soon to be is not called faux pas, faux pas is when you forget to zip up your pants when leaving the bathroom. And lastly, in 1977, nothing has changed. Commies rulled till 89 and the charter was just a piece of blah of few artists. Oh and BTW, that band doing YMCA...not Czech either.

    The Germans taking the Egerland in 1938, was the restoration of the German territory that was given to the Czechs at the end of WW1. After WW2, this area became part of the Czech Republic, and the German citizens were dispossessed of their land (about 3 million) - with about 10% murdered at the end of the war.

    • @nuffnuff418
      @nuffnuff418 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Absolute bullshit.

    • @crabbyhayes1076
      @crabbyhayes1076 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The lands owned by the 3 million were confiscated in 1945. Recently, a museum was built in Eger (Cheb) to honor them; but as a condition opening, they gave up their claims to any reparations for their lost lands - your lack of historical knowledge is BS!

    • @Epck

    • @Jan-vv1zk
      @Jan-vv1zk 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Are you insane, you stupid nazi? That's absolute bullshit. Not a single part of Bohemia was "given" to the Czechs after WW1. Egerland has always been part of Bohemia. Bohemia was always part of the Czechlands - along with Moravia and part of Silesia. Mass immigration of Germans begun in 13th century, after an invitation of one of the Czech kings. So check your facts first, you nazi moron.

    • @Jan-vv1zk
      @Jan-vv1zk 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Crabby Hayes and I am not even going into those crazy numbers of murdered civilians. 300 000 casualties is way out of touch. That would be a fucking bloodbath like the world has never seen considering in what time frame was the expulsion done.
