WOW. the cx10 is crisper and has more detail. also the built in nd filters are super convenient. on the second shot (around 4:00 you can see ugly CA on the GH6 . The CX10 has that under very good control. even at the third shot the cx10 looks better. the forth shot: WB is much better on CX10, but smaller sensor is noticable. colors are richer on GH6 here. Maybe dedicated videocameras are better at recording video after all.. LOL
Interesting. I've been really curious about the Gh6 as a run-and-gun. I've never thought about it as a lowlight camera but not bad. I feel like my Sony A7IV sees in the dark, I mean God level low light BUT the gimbal is a must so it's VERY heavy. Another one that hit me from left field was the camcorder. It's been a while for me but super convenient. Nice video.
I am considering one of these HC X camcorders.. but not sure what really are the difference of the X2000, X20 and the X2... is huge price difference... but what can one do that the other cannot really? any advice? I want to do street documentaries but in a more cinematic style ... thanks if you got time to give some ideas...
What’s your opinion? Do you prefer your gh6? I have a x2000 and can’t fall in love with the image. It seems to have noise in the shadows often. I’m use to shooting with a7siii so I’ve been spoilt. I do love the form factor, zoom rocker and stabilisation of the x2000 and is great for run and gun. I was looking at getting a used gh5 with a 100-400mm lens for cheap on fb marketplace thinking it would suit me better although after seeing these comparisons I’m not sure anymore. I would have loved to see more location shot comparisons with harder to expose dynamic range.
Even though I tested the X2000/CX10 and the GH6 together, these are two entirely different cameras that were designed for different filming scenarios. For most of my work, the GH6 is the better option. However, if I were filming an outdoor daylight live event, like a wedding or news gathering situation, I would choose the X2000/CX10, just for the ability to get the shots when that matters more than making the images look cinematic.
@@VideoGizmology I got a GH3 with three great lenses but want to find a really great camera for 2023.. I am considering one of these HC X camcorders.. but not sure what really are the difference of the X2000, X20 and the X2... is huge price difference... but what can one do that the other cannot really? any advice? I want to do street documentaries but in a more cinematic style ... As I want a more cinematic style I am also considering the GH5S and the Black Magic Pocket 4K But I am not sure they are good at the street compared to a camcorder, but I already got the lenses that fit them, and the cinematic look is important to me, I want to use Poetic mood in my documentaries mixed with ability to catch what is going on in the moment sometimes. I was thinking I need at least 12 bit first for great color grading, but perhaps 10 bit is fine... but grain in low light and get too high gain is not fun and I like to make work that I can sell. thanks if you got time to give some ideas...
For the CX 10 gain over 8 is unacceptable for paid work. At 12 it is super noisy. CX10 is an outdoor daytime camera and nothing else. For that Job it beats the GH6. The internal ND's are not be taken for granted. Once indoors or at night in any lighting the GH6 beats the CX10
Hi. Do you think the autofocus tracking on the x2000 would be good for a trainspotter who wants to film moving subjects? (I'm currently using a panasonic fz1000 and for subjects moving towards the camera the focus keeps losing focus completely)Many thanks
Yes, the X2000 or X1500 should be good at trainspotting. Make sure your F-stop is high, like at a n f/8 or more. By raising the f-stop, you will help your camera's autofocus a little.

I love my HC-X2000, and I'm a Fuji shooter... The focus/zoom/IBIS is on another level

why is it 24p on the GH6 and 59.9 on the CX10? Logically, less light goes to the cx10.
