As someone who has a disability that seriously impacted me to a point where I shouldn't have been working, BUT I WAS, I discovered that to get on disability it takes a doctor who gives a shit and 2 years of fighting to prove you are disabled to get on disability. Then over the summer I was talking to a lady who's son has the same disability, plus three other things stacked on top of it to boot and they wanted to kick him off just because. Literally no reason except he reached adulthood and just expected him to work even though he is severely impacted by several things and one of them could potentially kill him. His disability didn't magically vanish because he reached adulthood, but now she's fighting it all over again.

That guy is also voting for Trump who was given $400 MILLION from his dad and has been involved in politics for 25 years instead of the woman who went from working at McDonald's to being a District Attorney prosecuting criminals, to an attorney general who got a $20 billion settlement from big banks for their aggressive foreclosure of homeowners during the 2008 financial crisis and pushed stronger consumer protections in California.

The crazy thing about food stamps (SNAP) is, that it is not for poor people, it is for corporations, especially Walmart. 2/3 of all Walmart customers are food stamp (SNAP) recipients, because Walmart and other big corporations rather have the government (tax payers that can still pay taxes) pay them to feed the poor, rather than pay workers better so they can buy merchandise from Walmart and corporations. The reason we have food stamps, is exactly because corporations refuse to pay living wages. The food stamp program is a welfare program for corporations that taxpayers pay for. This is how they control the government and then blame the working poor. But that corporate tune is old now and nobody believes it anymore.

If we can get rid of lobbyists in Washington and big money PACs out of politics. There is a shot for change in our direction. Otherwise big corporations will continue the downward spiral. Which makes no sense. They need workers to fill those jobs to move their cheap products. When the workers aren't coming to work. They suffer as well. And the richest enclaves in America, where people like Bill Gates and Justin Trudeau vacation, are filled with foreign workers because they can be easily intimidated by their employment agency just like they do with Bangladeshis in Dubai and Kuwait.

More public investment and mutual retirement funds, but in the 1950's that *was* capitalism. And even then it wasnt silicone semiconductors that IBM discovered.
The U.S. Air Force. Thats primarily who you have to thank for the internet, computers, and somewhat standardized binary protocal that would at least make programming possible.
And like three guys named Steve who just wrote the internet protocalls. Just. because they wanted a better internet.
I think it was a UofU student who wrote the current protocals TH-cam uses for video streaming so he could watch movies with his freind across town.
I forget who it was that wrote the DNS service that all websites depend on to have a website instead if a numerical IP address. But it was just one guy who had trouble remebering IP addresses. He also wrote the code for ALL secure web protocals. Just a dude, never made a dime from it.
Let that sink in. The backbone of your modern life was either made for military or made because someone was bored. And big companies took the hard work and just never gave a dime to the inventors.

No, everyone should not have an equal say. That's simplistic thinking. Murderers and thieves don't get an equal say as responsible workers and providers. Rich people have traditionally attained a larger voice in society because of the fact that they were given money by other people, which represents goods and services. If I feed a village of 1000 people and they all pay me $5 per meal I get a larger voice through that money than someone who just eats and provides nothing.

I think I hate these videos the most BECAUSE it makes the people seem relatable, and then it's like, this is their answer. Hurts so much...

People need to be reminded that being a politician isnt meant to be a permanent career and that you can decide to run tomorrow. The government doesnt need to be full of alienated career politicians, ordinary people can make their own parties, run for their own reasons, and should be the majority of candidates on every ballot in a democracy
