The head sculpt looks like his expression when he said "yeah I do Captain America" right before he went into the Quantum van. The best way you can pose him with that expression is to have him looking at Captain America.
I agree the first ant man suit is also my favorite. I do love how it has that unpolished rustic look to. Especially the helmet with all the hoses and such.
I'm really starting to warm to the headsculpt in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. I have the marvel legends paul rudd headsculpt and it's just so WTF that I had to buy another figure just to display it in the collection. I had no plans to display the fig with the un-masked hs anyway so as you said I'm going to keep it in the box or maybe make a really crazy kitbash with it. Great review as always.

JUSTIN, you are my go to every time for figure reviews. You are absolutely crushing it. I get what you mean when when you say these are your opinions. I honestly don't think you need to defend yourself for making your opinions. If someone is dumb enough not to know you have the right to your own opinion on figures you are spending your hard earned cash on, they probably should keep their comments to themselves.
Figure itself looks good, and the headsculpt likeness is there even if the smile is odd. But can we just appreciate the costume designers for marvel and how the incorporated the head of an ant onto the chest of the costume. Absolutely love that detail and how it's subtly keeps it from looking janky.
if Hot Toys never put in that head sculpt, everyone would have been going crazy for this release, the suit itself looks like Ant Man, no two ways about it. They've really perfected that polished metal look!

Look don’t complain about the scales. It just shows how his disks have been improved so as to not mess up his body proportions, just like in the movies. Btw, AntMan has no scale.🐜🙃 I was talking about the comparisons
In Ant-Man And The Wasp, two years after Scott Lang was been placed under house arrest, due to his involvement with The Avengers in a violation of the Sokovia Accords. In Endgame, Scott Lang returns from the Quantum Realm (in which he was trapped at the end in Ant-Man And The Wasp). The reason why he has never seen anything like this before because he wasn't in Infinity War after he was been placed under house arrest.
I think that the headsculpt isnt that bad, yes the teeth are wider than they should and as you said, if they where added from the back it would be much better. I am just happy that they tried doing something different, i am kinda bored of the blank expression headsculpts.I think that the suit is awesome, but i love all the ant man suit designs!! ! I think it's a good headsculpt, you are right Justin, the teeth need to be more inside the mouth, maybe with a repaint it will look perfect, either waaayyy, when it solds out everyone will be paying top second market prices for Ant-man
Head sculpt reminds me of the original Avengers release of Iron Man (MK7) where the included Tony Stark looked much more like his long lost cousin Miguel Stark.
I still have my own displayed masked off, I think the sculpt is not that horrible. I put it in the shelf and I see it from distance, it's not bad at all. I only see the creepiness when I watch it very closely, and I won't put my face against the glass door to look it him so it's fine for me.
My hot toys Ant-man figure from Ant-man & the Wasp arrived today, and going by reviews from this channel and a few others, I was not very excited about this one due to the head sculpt, but wanted ant-man in my collection, so went for it anyway. Have to say after seeing it in hand, that I've completely changed my mind about this, and glad I was not put off by this, and other reviewers. The head sculpt is spot on Paul Rudd, from every angle, and that smile reflects his character perfectly. The teeth are maybe a fraction too far forward, but defiantly not to the drastic proportions some reviewers are saying. It really is completely different in hand, and I disagree with this review, and think it is the closest likeness so far to Paul Rudd compared to the others releases. I'll defiantly be displaying this with the heads sculpt. Hot toys have released a few this year that are not so great, like Qui-Gon, looking like a morph between Harvey Keitel and Liam Neeson, and the upcoming Ray, from The Rise of Skywalker, that looks more like Renoly Santiago from Con-air dressed up as Rey. Hot toys really need to redo that one, I cant see that being better in hand. Super happy with Ant-man anyway. Each to their own opinion, but glad I purchased it now.:)

I really wish that this figure came with an additional hand accessory that being the time space GPS that he had on his hand in endgame when he's with Tony Steven Steve and Tony Steven Steve and Bruce to get the infinity stones in 2012.
Am i the only one that thinks the smiling head sculpt looks more like Paul Rudd than the serious one? Serious one looks more like Ben Affleck if he had put on a little more weight.
That head sculpt is super creepy. Something serial killer about it. Personally if a figure comes with a head sculpt I'll almost always display with it because for me, the head sculpt is one of the biggest selling points of Hot Toys figures. If you have a spare head from an earlier release for Ant Man then you're good. Or if you're prepared to buy a 3rd party or a parted out head i guess. I don't know, doesn't really sit right with me having to buy an extra head separately though. Apart from that it is a nice fig.
I wonder why HT is doing steps backwards regarding articulations. In 2020 rigid chests and feet with no movement in all angles/pivot should not happen. Specially knowing their demand is growing. I have deluxe Cap Marvel and its has the same issues, plus the fragile material. Thanks for your video Justin!!

The AMATW head sculpt does looks like Paul Rudd and would be perfect if it doesn’t have that creepy smile, The Civil War head sculpt kinda looks like Ryan Reynolds
It feels to me like Hot Toys are focusing more of the figures being able to be posed then focusing on the quality of detail , i was excited for this figure but the other 2 figures look more body sized accurate and better detailed
Hmmmmmmmmm , the figure overall i like a lot the suit and accesories are spot on ! but ( meaning no disrespect to JC Hong ) i cannot take to the smiling face sculpt its pretty good by all standards but nope sorry but no . i hope now that scott has been released we will finally get the wasp herself soooooooo want her for my collection and to go with my Antman as well ! As ghastly and creepy the Rudd sculpt is, I don't see it as a deal-breaker, I only see the figure itself in multiple possibilities for posing in displays. Some see a simple Endgame display with the other Hot Toys figures, I see a Giant Man for your 6 inch figures. I'm sure 3rd party companies are already hard at work making a better replacement. Besides within this month we got 3 surprising Marvel releases from Hot Toys. That it in itself is impressive and costly for the wallet.
