where was this video when I needed a new bed/frame last year! :P Great design. You could even use deeper storage cubbies, along with a fabric or plastic box as a drawer (alternative to installing actual drawer railings)
Would love to build this, but I’m no expert and have a California king size mattress. Any chance there’s a cut guide for a California king? I see the king size one, but just want to make sure I change all the sizes correctly.
I love this bed, but im concerned it would be to low to the ground for my liking. Would I be able to add a couple inches to make the frame taller with out it being a issue?
+Christal Williams this was built with 3/4" plywood so it's pretty sturdy. You find full project details - including tools & materials and cutting diagrams - here: low.es/1yzTsWT Thanks for watching our video.
It's not. In the US, a standard king bed is 76" x 80". There's a great chart that shows all the different sizes in different countries here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed_size Thanks for watching!
Would you like the video to be captioned? I can help you out if you need it, I know this comment is somewhat old but I'd be glad to help if it's needed.
Joseph Foster project details including materials list and diagrams available here: www.lowes.com/creative-ideas/bed-and-bath/platform-bed/project Since prices vary depending on size you're building and materials stop by your local Lowe's to confirm cost. Thanks for watching our video.
Looks amazingly easy and cute. Will sure like to give a try.

Should I paint the wood in the beginning or after all put together?
+Brandon Earl we stained as a final step. You'll find project details: low.es/1yzTsWT

Suppose I wanted this project off the floor.....would 4X4 legs work along the perimeter and maybe under each divider?
I am about to build this bed. I think that 2x4s will work. Also, you could make a anything that works.
Is this for single sized bed? Or just twin.
+ItsVortex it can be built in any size from twin-king; project details are here: low.es/1yzTsWT

Is the American King size the same as the UK super king size? I.e. 71" x 78"?
It's not. In the US, a standard king bed is 76" x 80". There's a great chart that shows all the different sizes in different countries here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed_size Thanks for watching!
Lost a lot of storage in the center. Should use a lift kit to be able to use center space for storage
If I don't have a saw. Can I get someone to cut the wood for me at Lowe's?
+Nana-Ama Anang yes, wood cutting is available at your nearest Lowe's.
Awesome! Thanks!
Still no CC. But I love visual video.

+Leowulf™ what I meant CC is closed captions for deaf and hard of hearing people.
How much are the materials?

Can someone create a design for this with draws instead of cubbies
The Red Ranger aaaa@@
All you need is to add rollers and the dividers and no back panel
