So, a few years back, I had some maniac speed through a school zone and almost rear-end me while I was doing the required 20mph. The guy got mad and ended up kicking a dent in my car after speeding in front of me and running me off the road. I passed him and left when I saw him start to grab something out of his vehicle. I called 911 and gave them his license plate number. The guy had passed by again, but I kept my distance. While on the phone with 911, they told me to go home to meet the police, even though I told them I could trail the guy and keep them advised of his position. They refused to even send police unless I went home. I even saw a police car pass us right by in the oncoming lane (and told 911 it was right there with us). They didn't care. After I got home, they took nearly an hour to send me an officer to talk to. The officer had the nerve to ask me, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" As if I should have to hold their hands for them to do their jobs. It would have been nice if they pulled the guy over, maybe took him to jail for the vandalism/criminal mischief he caused to my car, and maybe made sure he had a mental health evaluation. We don't need crazies plowing through school zones and having road rage over the sane people who are going the required 20mph.
What did you expect the officer to do? Get a warrant on your say so? Say the cop gets the name from running the plate…calls the guy up or goes to interview him and the guy says he was road raged by you. That you were the nut job and he got the hell out of there. Unless you have video or an independent witness, there is nothing the officer can do for you.
The trooper did exactly everything we were just told to do in this video, and he STILL got a loaded gun pointed at him by a road rager. If the tropper hadn't ID'd himself as quickly as he did, recent news reports of road rage murders says he probably would have been shot, since the road rager assumed the off duty was just a normal, unarmed, stable person also stuck in the same traffic. His badge and job title saved his life. Most motorists also sharing the road with this guy don't have that luxury.
how many times have there been videos here about corrupt cops doing the very same thing and walk free but do it to and off duty cop and they will hook you up.
I drove from Marathon to Tallahassee on 95 to 75 North leaving the State of Florida someplace in Alabama never saw a state cop marked or unmarked anywhere I did seea local cop doing a oversized load but no state troopers but they show up in force of it's one of there own
My crazy ex was riding a motorcycle, I was on the back, and he pulls around a van who was stopped to get past it, dude didn’t allow it and got out with a 3” wide and 3’ long metal pipe about to hit my ex over the head with it (the driver of the van looked like he was on meth or something) anyways he didn’t realize we carry and have permits to carry, needless to say the dude got scared and immediately jumped in his van and sped off.. moral of the story is, road rage ain’t worth it and you just never know who the other person is or what they’re willing to do to protect themselves. All my ex did was lift his shirt up and show him he had protection, basically saying “hey, it’d be a good idea if you keep your distance and go back on your merry way”.. ppl r too much, just chill it’s just traffic sh*t happens.
Another "Florida Alpha Male" triggered by a little traffic. Only in Florida do they now pull out the courage gun because of individual shortcomings....
This is a good reminder why we need stricter gun control laws and people should have to take a psychological test before being allowed to own a firearm
But if it was anyone beside a trooper or LEO, nothing would of happened.
Actually it would.

@@floridabeardedwoodworker Never seen that, but seen cops come investigate and even arrest many times.
@@floridabeardedwoodworker How do you know they did not go investigate? Do you have access to their case files?

I wouldn't drive home. Then the idiot would know where I lived. That's bad advise.
