I honestly dont see why people are review bombing that hard... game runs smooth with quality dlss for me and the UI isnt great but not worse than before tbh... just new awkward menus to get used to I guess... Update overall is great, the game looks sick now, the new boss is fun and the map has great landscape and every compound has some nice easy to do parcour routes

You missed that they are limiting charms now. They can now only be equipped on 1 weapon at a time now, so you constantly need to equip it again if you want it on a different weapon. Very dumb change.

i think they should give the electric lamp the same effect as the UV lamp in dying light, just make it stun zombies a bit when you shine it in their face.
Building off this - The UV Lamp should do a "flash bang" effect when you first turn it on, to players within X feet infront of it/looking at it, but when you long press it afterwards, its just a basic flashlight. The drawback to use it instead of the flash bang is 1) it reveals where you are exactly, 2) could do longer animation, but infinite uses. 3) Make more noise pulling it out/cranking it.
@@KuthGoblin Never done that in the 6 games I played this morning, the lowest it dipped in fights was 90, consistently it was 120-140. I also haven't updated my GPU drivers and just jumped in and played. So unsure where everyone is pissy about FPS, but it sounds like a personal problem, not a map problem.

Oddly enough it runs better than it did before on my RTX 3070. Still have some lag spikes ever now and then, but the overall framerate is very good and generally stays at about 80, pretty much never goes under 60.
I like the "grid view" of the hunter selection screen, but not the default carousel one, if only we could change which one was default because it gets tiring having to swap every time you go to change hunters.
The penalty for burns is getting crazy. There needs to be some kind of healing salve or balm that you can bring in that SLOWLY rejuvenates burned bars. If you're downed, lose a bar like we have always lost bars, but if you're burned, your health that has been burned should not be lost, but charred. That way if you have the healing balm or whatever it is, you have a chance to get those burned bars back. Getting hit by a single hellfire bomb dealing 49 fire damage and instantly losing those bars seems just plain frustrating as hell. Might as well extract at that point. I appreciate they're trying to make matches not be stalemated, but my god the fire abuse is going to be insane. Salveskin needs to prevent flares from burning you, and there needs to be a healing balm for burned skin only. Seems like a reasonable counter to the INSANE fire buffs, haha.
"Might as well extract" brother in christ. The point of it is youll be killed in 1 bullet. Not getting a bounty is the least of your worries, theyre making fire less utility & more lethality. You arent supposed to survive.
Dude thats the reason the spot in the middle of the map is there, to get your bars back. Also with the peacemaker pact you just get bars back by looting dead hunter. You also have burn traits like remedy, you can kill bosses and there are like 50 different kinds of Choke to stop the burn. If you have all this and you dont think its enough, then maybe its time to change the game bud. Just use choke bombs like normal people or heck even use choke beetles and choke bolts, its that simple. With that you dont even have to get close to your teammates. Also with peacemaker as i said you have your bars back after an fight, and if you lose that fight you dont even have to worry about your bars anymore...

@@thelegenda5215 I don't think they messed with netcode or bullets connecting, I think the servers are overloaded cause Hunt hit peak player count by a wide margin. The performance is fine if you don't have a potato, but also turn down the usual things and enable DLSS. And you can see your stats, but not your teammate stats, it is in the progression tab. Also go into shooting range and actually see how much bullet drop there is...honestly pretty negligible.

I noticed practically all long range firing examples were made with scoped weapons. As an iron sight enthusiast, this is gonna hurt. Shotty and sniper campers were the bane of my existence before, now it seems that Christmas has come early for them.

I played 3 games and i chrashed all 3 games have new drivers and all settings on low 3060ti rtx and i have lower fps then before patch ... map is great but performance is horrid.
@@Grucha1998Audio is great as long as you use it, had too many teammates not hear enemies behind them. I have also not crashed after 6 games, so I dunno what that issue is.

Deserved critis on the UI aside: The game looks amazing now! The event pacts are cool. The new map is a bit tricky, cause you have so many spots vertically to also pay attention too - but still very nice to get out of the swamp! Man, Crytek really did a good job!

Yeah, the UI quite sucks, but when I started playing Hunt, the old UI also felt like shit (despite looking good). But the fact that we all discuss the UI means: - The servers are online - The game is actually working (at least for the majority) - On newer Setups, the game runs better than before Knowing the past of Hunt I expected much worse problems. The update already feels and plays great and I am sure that Crytek will solve the biggest Issues (Graphics problems especially for Radeon RX5xx). UI will get some tweaking but overall I guess we will have to live with the overall appearance of the UI.
Weapons with skins need to stop saying the name of the skin when it's on the ground, it needs to say the name of the gun. Not everyone can tell what weapon it is by the icon, and very few people have all the names memorized.

I like knowing if the gun on the ground has a skin before picking it up to replace my no skin gun. Pretty sure a decent amount of people can tell the gun by the symbol and name.

So even if they had the original name and not the name of the skin, i couldnt say with gun is good and which one is bad. Hunt is just different then other games, even with like 500-600 hours youre considered a newbie in hunt. And thats not to be rude, but because the game has so much content to learn and to get better. Even after 1400h on this game i still learn new shit, spots i never saw after so many games. But i wouldnt mind, if they showed the real name and not the skin one, i mean maybe it helps newbies and it doesnt change things for pros
I love all the bullet- and damage-related changes. Buffing medium ammo, giving long ammo the strongest drop, minimum torso damage 25, headshots always deadly... This makes compact and medium ammo stronger and long ammo less strong, leveling the playing field a little. I think these changes are great.
Bad af 0 brain? How can the bullet with the highest velocity loose the most momentum? This f!cking killed long ramge fights. It was already bad, but the current update only leed to more spam and rng weapons like shotguns.
Exactly. Its refreshing to see "new guns" again (not really new, but now they get finally played). It was the best call to get rid of the shotgun and longammo only meta, that was plaquing this game for years
@@cassidy8307 in reality bullet drop affects only very far ranges, so basically snipers only. For close medium and long ranges you don't see the difference.
Couldn't play yesterday with my friends, because one of them had everything in game very dark. We tried to play with different settings, but it didn't help. During the night, he couldn't see anything. I saw other people reporting this issue online, I can't believe they released update and did not test for something like this, that makes the game unplayable.
He should show us his reaction on the new UI, ofc he cant sht on the Crytek but i would love to see him trying that PERFECT UI i bet he was lost, frustrated and confused like all of us.

Guys i need help :( Since this update i have huge problem with sounds, and all my friend with 500+hours notice it too instantly. Sometimes there is player in my building or pushing the building and i legit cannot know what they are doing the audio is so quiet or even sometimes no more audio. I try to track someone (last guy of a team) in a forest i hear him 30 m away he jumps off a rock and no more audio, but i'm chasing and my mate are pinging and seeing that he is running, then suddenly i almost touch him, i hear him charging spear and sprinting at me doing almost no sound, so i was 30 m behind him walking to hear him and i couldnt despite my friend seeing him sprinting in front of me. Or people ambusing me with no sound, people rushing me with no sound, when i was waiting for them cause i heard them getting hit by another team and they had to run to me. I was once in a cornfield vs the last guy of the fight (i had darksight) the guy i'd say 40 50 m in front hits me, i move 2 m towards his position to get behind a tree and heal and 5 sec later he is trying to melee me and first sprinting audio i heard was when he was in melee range of me, no way he crouched 40m in 5 sec and there was no other audio, no zombies, no shots, no chokes, no explosions nothing just the cornfield and the guy. I don't know what is this. I cannot "see with sound" like i used too and all my friends are saying the same, gun shots are amazing but player audio oh my god. I think footsteps and melee audio was tweaked or hearing range reduced or something. Nothing changed in my audio settings, no 7.1 i just enabled CrySpatial. I legit can't play the game it's like i'm playing an early acces that has 0 audio. Anybody having issues as well?
I only got to play 2 games last night. After spending about 10 minutes just trying to figure out how to recruit a hunter and choose a loadout, I finally figured out how to ready up with trios. Immediately in the game I started experiencing performance issues and the overall weight of the character felt off. We made it to Scrapbeak and banished and I guess I did the bug where I looked at the map too soon because the entire game froze. I had to quit and lose an uppercut. As I'm waiting for the game to restart, I sat there thinking, "Did I have fun during any of that?" The UI is horrendous and I spent more time figuring the UI out than I did in the game, and when I was in the game the performance was horrible that resulted in a game freeze. The second game I died within 5 minutes and I just turned my computer off and went to do something else. This update is a letdown for me. Maybe they'll get their stuff figured out soon but, damn, it feels bad to be opposed to playing Hunt.
Performance indoors is utter garbage as soon as indirect lighting is present in the scene. I lose about 50% to 70% of performance. Outdoors I'm fine at about 120 FPS but indoors it's literally UNPLAYABLE. Truly pathetic, considering how fully raytraced open world games like metro or cyberpunk run better on my PC.... Cryengine is just dogshit.

This is by far the worst update ever. Map is too green, too many spots to camp in the woods, encoureges shotgun camping. Map design feels rushed af, UI is not even good for consoles, looks like mobile game, necro changes because crytek listens to 10 hour crybabies..... Bullet drop is bugged, shot a guy while he charged me at spear twice, bullet hit tip of his spear and did 0 damage.... Disaster, rachta is paid to tell you it is great, guys dont buy bloodbonds or the pass....
I liked the new patch but someplaces I go to 90 frames to like 28 frames per second, and now I have to play everything on low or move in slow motion, they will have to optimize better

the hunter and loadout UI is horrible. horizontal scrolling and not seeing all options at once. Hope they change this

I noticed practically all long range firing examples were made with scoped weapons. As an iron sight enthusiast, this is gonna hurt. Shotty and sniper campers were the bane of my existence before, now it seems that Christmas has come early for them.

I played 3 games and i chrashed all 3 games have new drivers and all settings on low 3060ti rtx and i have lower fps then before patch ... map is great but performance is horrid.

I have also not crashed after 6 games, so I dunno what that issue is.

I have rx 5700 xt and i5 12400F mine runs the same performance like before update 130-160 fps on full hd

Shotguns , dual wielding and levering buffed? What? They were op even in 5 to 6mmr what are they on ??
I mean slugs definetly got nerfed despite what ractha said, them no longer being precise kinda defeats the purpose of taking them. Levering buff is a strange one though.
Dualies and levering were pretty meh. They are okay now. Shotguns are cancer in close range as always, otherwise, whatever.
This Ui is a nightmare to navigate!

Deserved critis on the UI aside: The game looks amazing now! The event pacts are cool. The new map is a bit tricky, cause you have so many spots vertically to also pay attention too - but still very nice to get out of the swamp!

Insane Video. So much information in just 16 minutes. Thanks a lot! I really like the "new" Hunt. Yeah, the UI quite sucks, but when I started playing Hunt, the old UI also felt like shit (despite looking good). But the fact that we all discuss the UI means:
- The servers are online
- The game is actually working (at least for the majority)
- On newer Setups, the game runs better than before
Knowing the past of Hunt I expected much worse problems. The update already feels and plays great and I am sure that Crytek will solve the biggest Issues (Graphics problems especially for Radeon RX5xx). UI will get some tweaking but overall I guess we will have to live with the overall appearance of the UI.
Weapons with skins need to stop saying the name of the skin when it's on the ground, it needs to say the name of the gun. Not everyone can tell what weapon it is by the icon, and very few people have all the names memorized.

Agree, but you'll recognize every weapon with only seeing it over time. When you're over 200-300hs that won't be a problem.
@lautaroferrandis55 yea that's not a good thing tho, imagine saying that to someone who just downloaded the game, you will recognize them after 200 hours. Should have been changed a long time ago, but pretty bad they didn't change it for the relaunch
I like knowing if the gun on the ground has a skin before picking it up to replace my no skin gun. Pretty sure a decent amount of people can tell the gun by the symbol and name.
@@gangstersnowwell to be fair, after 200 hours i only had knowledge of like 3-4 guns. So even if they had the original name and not the name of the skin, i couldnt say with gun is good and which one is bad. Hunt is just different then other games, even with like 500-600 hours youre considered a newbie in hunt. And thats not to be rude, but because the game has so much content to learn and to get better. Even after 1400h on this game i still learn new shit, spots i never saw after so many games. But i wouldnt mind, if they showed the real name and not the skin one, i mean maybe it helps newbies and it doesnt change things for pros
I love all the bullet- and damage-related changes. Buffing medium ammo, giving long ammo the strongest drop, minimum torso damage 25, headshots always deadly... This makes compact and medium ammo stronger and long ammo less strong, leveling the playing field a little. I think these changes are great.

Exactly. Its refreshing to see "new guns" again (not really new, but now they get finally played). It was the best call to get rid of the shotgun and longammo only meta, that was plaquing this game for years
I still don't know if bullet drop was a good addition, but I like headshots doing lethal damage at any range
But nerfing high vel and fmj ammo affects anything but long ammo, isn`t it?
@@cassidy8307 in reality bullet drop affects only very far ranges, so basically snipers only. For close medium and long ranges you don't see the difference.

Couldn't play yesterday with my friends, because one of them had everything in game very dark. We tried to play with different settings, but it didn't help. During the night, he couldn't see anything. I saw other people reporting this issue online, I can't believe they released update and did not test for something like this, that makes the game unplayable.

@@skunk_IsloveI’ve literally been playing since the game was in alpha. This is the healthiest I’ve seen it in years. Trade window is not my favorite thing in the game I agree, however I would so much rather deal with that than all of the bush wookie snipers looking for third parties the entire game
@@tannerk.4630It's a buff to snipers if anything, they are the only ones that can see and account for the drop easily. It was easier to compete with off meta loadouts before than it is now. I'd rather have to hit two headshots than account for bullet drop on a guy I can't see because my gun is in the way.

Having a not so good pc, i can’t play the game anymore… I’m at max 45 fps, that’s so sad i hope they do something about it. (i was playing with 90+ fps on my 75hz monitor before the patch)

I'm prestige 100 and wondering if I should prestige, but can't navigate the UI to understand what the prestige will be and what the max is now etc. Or if "prestige now" is just a bug lol.

Since this update i have huge problem with sounds, and all my friend with 500+hours notice it too instantly.
Sometimes there is player in my building or pushing the building and i legit cannot know what they are doing the audio is so quiet or even sometimes no more audio. I try to track someone (last guy of a team) in a forest i hear him 30 m away he jumps off a rock and no more audio, but i'm chasing and my mate are pinging and seeing that he is running, then suddenly i almost touch him, i hear him charging spear and sprinting at me doing almost no sound, so i was 30 m behind him walking to hear him and i couldnt despite my friend seeing him sprinting in front of me. Or people ambusing me with no sound, people rushing me with no sound, when i was waiting for them cause i heard them getting hit by another team and they had to run to me. I was once in a cornfield vs the last guy of the fight (i had darksight) the guy i'd say 40 50 m in front hits me, i move 2 m towards his position to get behind a tree and heal and 5 sec later he is trying to melee me and first sprinting audio i heard was when he was in melee range of me, no way he crouched 40m in 5 sec and there was no other audio, no zombies, no shots, no chokes, no explosions nothing just the cornfield and the guy. I don't know what is this. I cannot "see with sound" like i used too and all my friends are saying the same, gun shots are amazing but player audio oh my god. I think footsteps and melee audio was tweaked or hearing range reduced or something. Nothing changed in my audio settings, no 7.1 i just enabled CrySpatial. I legit can't play the game it's like i'm playing an early acces that has 0 audio.
Anybody having issues as well?

I only got to play 2 games last night. After spending about 10 minutes just trying to figure out how to recruit a hunter and choose a loadout, I finally figured out how to ready up with trios. Immediately in the game I started experiencing performance issues and the overall weight of the character felt off. We made it to Scrapbeak and banished and I guess I did the bug where I looked at the map too soon because the entire game froze. I had to quit and lose an uppercut. As I'm waiting for the game to restart, I sat there thinking, "Did I have fun during any of that?" The UI is horrendous and I spent more time figuring the UI out than I did in the game, and when I was in the game the performance was horrible that resulted in a game freeze.
The second game I died within 5 minutes and I just turned my computer off and went to do something else.
This update is a letdown for me. Maybe they'll get their stuff figured out soon but, damn, it feels bad to be opposed to playing Hunt.
Performance indoors is utter garbage as soon as indirect lighting is present in the scene. I lose about 50% to 70% of performance. Outdoors I'm fine at about 120 FPS but indoors it's literally UNPLAYABLE.
Truly pathetic, considering how fully raytraced open world games like metro or cyberpunk run better on my PC....
Cryengine is just dogshit.

New prestige rewards are extremely disappointing, I'm going back to not prestiging now. Most of the rest of the update is great though.

This is by far the worst update ever. Map is too green, too many spots to camp in the woods, encoureges shotgun camping.
Map design feels rushed af, UI is not even good for consoles, looks like mobile game, necro changes because crytek listens to 10 hour crybabies.....
Bullet drop is bugged, shot a guy while he charged me at spear twice, bullet hit tip of his spear and did 0 damage....
Disaster, rachta is paid to tell you it is great, guys dont buy bloodbonds or the pass....

I liked the new patch but someplaces I go to 90 frames to like 28 frames per second, and now I have to play everything on low or move in slow motion, they will have to optimize better

The Audio inside the mines is STELLAR! I was shocked how good it is now. I had the chance to visit real life mine shafts and they nailed it 100%
